AlciG, BlueCoverman, and Raycastleunited may all have had five picks score but it wasn't enough to surpass Eyetoldyouso's four scoring picks.  The sole selection of Roberto Castro made the telling difference.  Owen10ozzy also had four scoring picks.  Beninho, Davie, EmmDee57, GolferMartin, Kwinigolfer, LL Cool Nay, McLaren, Sand, and SirBenson all had three scoring picks of varying quality.  Pedro, SetupDetermines, Super_Realist, and TheCleaver each had two scoring picks while Hibbz and I'm Never Wrong had just the one.

Rory McIlroy headlines the field at the site of one of his first PGA Tour victories and is also the defending champion to boot.  Jim Furyk, one of the many former winners playing here, makes his first start for a long time after injury.  Other winners include J.B. Holmes, Derek Ernst, Rickie Fowler, Lucas Glover, Sean O'Hair, vijay Singh, and winner of the first edition, David Toms.  The only winners missing are Anthony Kim, Tiger Woods, and Joey Sindelar.

There are three Categories where you will need pick three players, plus reserve, from each one.  There are bonus points available if you get all of your picks through in any category.  Get all 9 picks through and you get an even bigger bonus.  It's all way down at the bottom in the scoring section if you are interested.

This is a full field with cut event, cut points will be available; see above.

RULES

Picking players: Unless stated, pick a total of 9 players as follows:

Pick 3 players from each category, plus a reserve per category.

Event winner: The person with the most total points at the completion of each event will be declared the winner. In case of a tie, those involved will match-off each picks' final position score in descending order. i.e. Player A's best finish vs. Player B's best finish, Player A's 2nd best finish vs. Player B's 2nd best finish, etc... until one's pick finishes better than the other(s).

If there is a tie after all 9 picks have been matched against each other, those involved will be declared co-winners.

Player Withdrawals: If you pick a player who withdraws during a tournament, that player will be eligible for points for all completed rounds and making the cut if they withdraw after the cut. It must be apparent that the player completed their round for them to be eligible for either the low round, worse round, top 5, or top 10 low round scores.  If a player withdraws before starting the tournament then your reserve will be put in that player's place. It is up to you to check that your players are in the starting field.

Holidays / Absences: If you will be absent for an upcoming event (e.g holidays) you may post the numbers on the most recent fantasy league event and the respective tournament(s) that apply or PM them to me.  Example: Pick 3 players and 1 reserve from each category and the relative event number or name: Players 4, 5, and 8, reserve 9 from Category A, players 1, 3, and 7, reserve 5 from Category B, players 1, 2 and 17, reserve 12 from Category C, Event #12.

Failure to submit picks: If you do not submit picks you will be awarded zero points.

Deadlines: Picks must ideally be submitted before the first drive is struck on the first day of the tournament.  However, late picks submitted after the tournament has begun must be for players who have yet to start (or are not showing a score on europeantour.com, PGATour.com, etc.), and these will not be valid unless they are seconded by any other league member.

All fantasy league disputes and discrepancies will be considered by the League Judge: LadyPutt. All decisions made by the League Judge are final.

Sorry Grumps. I got caught out with the Bank Holiday here and forgot it was Thursday today! What with the house move, impending retirement at work and everything I'm all at sixes and sevens. I'll  have to miss this one I thought had said in an earlier thread that if I missed a week then to use the numbers but I may be mistaken (easily done).

If I miss in coming weeks, please can you give me numbers 2, 4 and 7 with 8 as reserve?

What's with all the picking by numbers recently? It's not really in the spirit of the game is it? Seems to be a bit of an epidemic! This isn't an attack on you LP, it is just coincidence that I started to type this and your post is immediately above.

Surely if you are on holiday or too busy to pick you just skip the week, that's what I do. I would feel embarrassed getting Grumpy to pick for me, his time is just as important as mine. Grumpy is obviously too nice a chap to refuse your requests, but he does enough already.

LP, I think the last time you gave instructions to pick by numbers was on the Winter/Spring - WGC-Cadillac thread.  There was mention of house hunting and other stuff going on but I didn't see any standing instruction so to speak.  I don't recall if you've picked by numbers during this particular session so it's possible I've missed an updated instruction. - EDIT: Texas Open was pick by numbers as pushed for time. Only numbers given; no standing instruction.

Going forward if you haven't picked I will revert back to these numbers.  Cheers, Grumps

Thanks Grumps for agreeing to use my numbers in the coming weeks. If it's too much of a faff (as suggested by Ray) then say so and I'll just miss weeks.

Picking by numbers is relatively easy for me so no worries to you or anyone else that wants or needs to do it in the future. I think that due to the standings table folks want to do this so they don't lose ground so to speak.

Rough calculation: 33 picks making the cut, 25 missing it. This could change if Bronson Burgoon can birdie his last hole

Burgoon did the right thing. Double bogey.

With 25 picks packing their bags and hightailiing it out of Charlotte it's not surprise that no one has the full set remaining. Three Fantasy Leaguers came close to it but Bryson DeChambeau and Geoff Ogilvy ultimately messed up their chances. BlueCoverman, Eyetoldyouso, and Sand just missed out. AlciG, Davie, GolferMartin, Hibbz, Owen10ozzy, and Super_Realist all earned two cut bonuses but Super_Realist is the only one of this group to have six picks left while the others have seven picks. EmmDee57 and Raycastleunited also have seven picks left. LL Cool Nay also has six picks left but he didn't earn a cut bonus. I'm Never Wrong, Kwinigolfer, McLaren, Pedro, and TheCleaver all have five picks left but only Kwinigolfer, Pedro, and TheCleaver of them earned a bonus. Beninho, SetupDetermines, and SirBenson all have four picks and only SetupDetermines failed to earn a bonus.

Five picks made the Top 10 Low Round scores by shooting 70 or lower. Pick Rickie Fowler was one of two players to shoot 68 for the low round of the day; James Hahn was the other. AlciG, BlueCoverman, Davie, Eyetoldyouso, McLaren, Raycastleunited, SirBenson, and TheCleaver all earned points from Fowler. AlciG and SirBenson both added another two scoring picks as they made a charge up the leaderboard. BlueCoverman and Raycastleunited added another scoring picks while EmmDee57 and GolferMartin also had two picks score points. Beninho, Hibbz, Kwinigolfer, LL Cool Nay, Owen10ozzy, Pedro, Sand, and SetupDetermines all had a scoring pick. I'm Never Wrong and Super_Realist failed to trouble the scorer.

I actually considered picking him but after checking his recent results I decided it wouldn't be smart
I might have picked him if it had been a Cat C pick though... Can't be sure there... But figured it was a waste of a Cat B pick.

It does seem that the Fantasy League has lost it's magic touch. Week after week the winner was a pick and I typically put that down to the fact about half of the field is picked but recent results haven't included a winner.

Full results posted shortly and we'll see if the winner-elect, Eye, receives the confirmation.

The sole selection of Roberto Castro made the telling difference. Owen10ozzy also had four scoring picks.
