Van Der Wiel
Feghouli
Tore
Lacazette
Benteke
Batshuayi
Jonathan Calleri
Begovic
Simone Zaza
Those are people West Ham have definitely had a look at. Could see us getting the first three, then no idea who of the strikers. Begovic must be up for grabs, so I'm guessing a lot of clubs will take a look.

Re: Summer Transfer Thread 16/17
I quite like Feghouli as a player, probably the best out of the three, you think are possible signings. Van der Wiel likes going forward, he's a truly horrifying defender though. The Dutch seem to like the offensive full backs, who can't defend, he's similar to Janmaat. Gokhan Tore is a liability on & off the pitch, numerous stories out there about him, so just don't see why WHU would bother dealing with him. He also has a woeful goal scoring record for an attacking option (Turkey 26 apps - 0 goals)
Lacazette & Batshuayi would be good additions, not convinced on Begovic, think he's regressed in the last year & Adrian is hardly in need of replacing.

Cant see him as a better option than Adrian.
Bilic loves Tore. That'll be that matters to him.

Ha! Its not so much the rumours, its the links of people who do have info and the fact the Daves MO is to go for a few for the same position at once and buy one. Its not bad actually, but throws you off the scent.

There's a summer tournament, just watch that and see who's wearing the shirts come the start of the season.
Even the in the knows and those with connections know absolutely nothing about transfer activity.

You'll soon find out Dolph that these so called rumours by the ITK's are mostly garbage, the fact they get the occasional one right is apparently reason to listen to their every word. Of the names mentioned i'd say only around 10% are genuine.

Not twitter ones really, just a couple from a respectable forum. My general feeling is we probably do have interest in most they talk about, it's just interest doesn't always mean a lot more than a quick check on availability in case.
However, it does give you a good feel for the level of target.

For today:
Di Marzio has us having agreed terms with Bacca, but we need to bid 25m Euros to get him, and our opening bid was 20m.
Cracking player, but thats a lot of money for us to spend on a player who is 30 years old in September.

Andre Gomes reportedly saying he's on the way to Utd.
Long term Carrick replacement, tipped to be one to watch at the Euros and was one of the few players to play well at Valencia this season.

I love Diaf. Works hard, pace, decent at most things without being exceptional. I think he'd be a very good signing for Sunderland.

A message for everyone, which players would you like to see your team go for this year and get rid off? And what you would like to see your new lineup be?

Tore ain't great & Jose Sosa is like 31 in a month's time. I'd be disappointed being linked with these players, given WHU's season & going into the Olympic stadium. Hardly statement signings.

Would like to see Norwich sign some players from League one sides - guys like Dack, Winnall, Bradshaw etc - these guys can compliment the good core we've already got.
Wouldn't like to see many leave - just a few fringe players really. Our squad is a good championship one, so no need to tinker with it hugely

Sosa will be back up, no doubt about that, unless he can force his way ahead of Lanzini, Payet, Antonio and, seemingly, Tore. Tore I really like, and so does Bilic. I also like that he is mental.
I think the statement signing is the striker. Hopefully two strikers as I would expect Sakho and Valencia to leave, and Emineke is going anyway. I think they want a marquee name and another decent one. Lacazette/Batshuayi type, but I think it'll be Benteke. To be honest I don't mind who as long as we are better and have more depth. We havent got a striker with a record of scoring lots of goals, and we need one to press on. Everything else will be small improvements.

And the Umtiti stuff I just cant see. We have good links in France, but our centre backs are pretty nailed on I'd say, and Umtiti clearly has a lot of potential.

Young Jack being linked with Everton & Stoke.
Good player when his head is in the right place.
Certainly a player i wouldnt want us o lose.
Didnt show much last season, but then only a couple had an ok season considering.
Could be a good player in the championship.

Re: Summer Transfer Thread 16/17
not been on here for a while, so what have i missed.
vardy wont be going nowhere, who's going to pay 20 mil plus for a player who's 29 and game is based around his pace?!
still expecting bilic to be sacked for not playing the "west ham " way after lumping it all game to carrol in their last home game
not sure on zlatan, always considered him a bit of a flat track bully who cant do it against the real top sides. his form form in the latter stages of the champions league over the years backs it up. and at his age the prem is no picnic, but he's still better than any CF at the club at the moment (if martial is sticking to LW). probably wont work but still worth a shot for a free (the wages arent really a issue with us)
good to see us being linked with a cb, think that position should be our priority (that any getting rid of the liability that is rojo). would like another attacking player adding, with a cm. and if im being really optimistic another rb as dont think any we have currently cut the mustard, and highly doubt jose will stick his eggs in fosu mensahs basket

I think darmian can cut it, if you know he's allowed to play. Instead of being subbed at half time or switched to left back after half an hour to allow "tactical" changes.

thought darmian started well in his career so you may well have something about how lvg managed him, but for me he doesnt give anything going forward which in the strange world of modern day football is a vital part of being a full back these days

Daniel Agger looks like he's joining A.C Milan on a free transfer. Why he left the major european leagues to join Brondby, after Liverpool, still puzzles me. He could of done the 'gone home to finish my career' thing afterwards.

Think his crossing is good enough to be considered a weapon. I think the converted winger at full back is slowly dying out. Can also balance it out with a more attacking left back.
Who else is out there? That's my issue picking a United squad or fantasy signings. Who is out there of the required quality (title challenge and cl challenge when we qualify again) that will join us over other sides? Or will we continue to miss out on these targets.
It isn't even viable anymore to pick up other pl teams top players as the league is so cash rich.
As much as I hate funding reals marquee signings I'd love to sign Rodriquez and play him as a no 10.
De gea
Darmian smalling blind/new defender shaw/bj
Schneiderlin blind/schweijsteiger
Rw? Rodriquez martial
Rooney/Rashford
Want to clear out deadwood, rojo etc but give the younger players who broke through a chance.
Probably fanciful that but hey ho.

not sure schweinsteiger has got it in these days, hope im wrong but didnt show anything in a lvg team that played at a snails pace as it was
thats where the new cm comes in for me, perhaps likes of herrera could do better under jose. and rooneys is only going to play deeper these days. not got the legs for striker.

Re: Summer Transfer Thread 16/17
Rodriguez doesn't work hard enough, similar to Mata. Without the physicality or the anticipation to be strong in the tackle, he's often out-muscled & attackers drift past him so the likelihood of him suiting Mourinho's demands & the the PL, is slimmer than slim. Great left peg, but not sure he offers anything vastly different to Mata & Rodriguez is very slow, so if he's playing around Rooney, United's midfield will look like it's stuck in mud. United need energy & pace, Rodriguez is the opposite.
Schneiderlin & Schweinsteiger is not going to scare anyone in that midfield either, hence the links with Andre Gomes & Joao Mario.

Rodriguez would be purely a Mendes enforced signing based on his current form.

Spanish papers stating Utd paying Seville £5m for their director of football Monchi.
Edit: Monchi requested to leave, Seville refused and said any suitor would have to cough up the £5m, Mourinho big fan of him and wants him onboard.

Because he wasn't fit enough. He probably still isn't fit enough but if Milan are offering him enough money I can understand why he'd go there for one last pay day. Think Agger could have been one of the world's best defenders, but his injury record was really poor.

Mourinho isn't retarded so he won't be playing Rooney in midfield.
Not sure who else we'd sign I midfield hence including schweinsteiger.
As much as I like Herrera his passing is shocking and id be amazed to see him in a mourinho team.
Rodriguez is probably a pipe dream but I think in a team with hard working players around him he could be a superstar.
Going to be an interesting summer anyway.

Darmian isn't the most attacking fullback, I put Memphis there but it's very much make or break for him, can just as easily see him moved on if Jose feels his attitude isn't right.

Yeah just stick any crap together at the back, park the bus and you can defend against the best in the world then, not that most times poor teams do that they get steamrolled.
