Not fact, seeing as Bentley was £17m in total

Looks like an ultra reliable source to me, all three cost Tottenham more up front than Bentley.

Re: Summer Transfer Thread 16/17
Bentley was £15m + £2m add ons = £17m
Moussa Dembele was £15m
Darren Bent was £16.5m
Luka Modric was £16.5m
Other news, Roma want Wijnaldum to replace Pjanic. Ashley has set a huge asking price.

Bentley could have been £17mil if all the conditions were met but they weren't hence why he was never Tottenhams record signing.

Unless the condition was that he played utter gash, he met that one.

Reports in France also stating that Sofiane Feghouli of Valencia is on his way to West Ham.

I think Bentley quite football before he was 30 and opened a restaurant or something nuts like that.

Re: Summer Transfer Thread 16/17
Well, Feghouli looks done, looks to me like Tore and Feghouli will be coming in, and Atiba Hutchinson as a utility man. Those three would be added to Nordtveit and making Lanzini permanent.
Id expect Tomkins to leave, Obiang is probably a possibility, Sakho looks half gone and Valencia will go with a decent bid.
So, I would think any chance of Lacazette (I still dont believe it will happen) will be added to Feghouli, Tore, Hutchinson. Calleri probably still a possibility. I think we'll be going for depth now.

Redmond to join Southampton for £11 million
Gutted to see him go - but that's not a bad price considering he's out of contract next summer

Means Sadio Mane is probably out and the rumours of Liverpool using Ibe as a makeweight in that deal probably not going to come to fruition. I don't really want Mane to be honest.

He didn't have an amazing year last year but think he's got a higher ceiling than Redmond.

He's still got to reach it though. If Liverpool are keen to dump him for Mane, indicates they aren't that confident in him doing it.

I agree. I'd be disappointed if we lost Ibe, in exchange for Mane. I think the problem was last year he seemed to fall out with Klopp at some point. If they can sort out their differences I think Ibe can become a very good player. I thought when he first broke through under Rodgers he looked better than Sterling did at that age. And the first half of the season last year he was pretty good. Just needs to make sure he keeps working hard for me.

Re: Summer Transfer Thread 16/17
Unless Ibe gets his head right, he's going to find himself warming the bench for a while. His fall from grace was quite spectacular towards the end of the season and whilst it may have been due to fatigue, I'd counter that with the fact he a youngster and these f*ckers can run for weeks on just a Twix and half a bottle of Lucazade (I know I did at that age).
It's as if he started becoming sh!te to counter the fact that Origi was having a very good run of form.

Can't believe I've just read you'd be disappointed losing Ibe, for Sadio Mane

Considering the report was Ibe + £20 million for Mane, are you really?
I don't think Mane is good enough to replace any of the three attacking midfielders already at the club. I'd much rather save the money for somebody else in a position we're more in need of an allow Ibe that spot on the bench. Without European football this season, the squad doesn't have to be that big.

I kinda agree with Crimey. Manes a good player but not sure he's good enough to take Liverpool forward, or at least a decent amount forward.

We've nailed down Nordtveit and Feghouli for free, got Quina and Martinez for the development squad too.

Makes sense. Probably going to be third or fourth choice this year, whilst still on high wages. Shame how it ended, but think he declined significantly in the last two years.

Re: Summer Transfer Thread 16/17
Not sure he gets into that Barcelona side though. I'd have him behind Messi, Suarez, Neymar, Turan in that front three. If Barcelona want to continue to be successful they've got to continue to give chances to the young players behind them as well.
I imagine Conte is going to want to use Cuadrado as the player that Pedro could be. Remains to be seen if that is a particular improvement. Pedro would probably have been better off moving to Manchester United when they were interested.

Well he left because he wasn't playing, and he's hardly broken down any doors last season so he must be happy to be back up.

I'll admit I did at one point want Pedro to join but this season has shown that he's been made to look better than he actually is, same goes for the much touted Barca youth players; when it comes to it they've not been up to it.

Needed to give himself a year to adjust to a new league. Didn't help nearly all the Chelsea players under performed last season.

Borussia Dortmund have completed the signing of Portugal left-back Raphael Guerreiro from Lorient on a four-year contract. The rebuilding phase is well under way, as he joins Ousmane Dembele, Sebastian Rode, Emre Mor & Marc Bartra, to the players already signed this summer.

Re: Summer Transfer Thread 16/17
£11 million seems remarkably cheap considering it's a deal between two Premier League sides and the fees being thrown around this year. Is his contract up?
I think Wanyama is good, it's a very good signing for Tottenham, surprised no other sides gave that a look.

Contract expires next year, good deal for Tottenham getting a proven Premier League midfielder relatively cheaply.

From what I've seen of him during the Euro's, he looks pretty ordinary, does Embolo. Don't see him getting any game time behind Martial, Zlatan & Rashford, so I doubt this rumour is true.

Could see Rashford being loaned out this year.

Mourinho would immediately get the fans backs up if he loans out Rashford and then signs another young forward.

Well Ibras going to play most games, because hes Ibra, so the best thing for Rashford may be to get some gametime at a PL club. Possibly an Everton if Lukaku is sold.
