The Citizen Try of the Season shortlist is:

Peter Betham, Leicester Tigers (v Gloucester Rugby in Round 19)
Ross Chisholm, Harlequins (v Gloucester Rugby in Round 7)
Sam James, Sale Sharks (v Northampton Saints in Round 3)
George Pisi, Northampton Saints (v Gloucester Rugby in Round 22)
Harry Thacker, Leicester Tigers (v Northampton Saints in Round 20)
Cooper Vuna, Worcester Warriors (v Saracens in Round 22)

I like team tries for these awards (which for me rules out Thacker's) and tries that actually mean something (which rules out Vuna's).

Chisholm's was excellent, and biased though I am the handling in Betham's superb.

I'm going to take from this that Glaws are actually an amazing team, however a plethora of wonder tries has seen us finish 8th...

Cooper Vuna's is the best for me. Chisholm's was a great try, however, for me it wasn't even the best try of that game; I'm very surprised not to see Rob Cook's kick return try in that list. Likewise, Betham scored a better try against Glaws in the game at Kingsholm.

Thing with Vuna's try is they were 30pts behind at the time, so for me it was mere decoration.

Oh and HKC I suspect you mean Veainu at Castle Grim, pretty sure Betham did not score that day.

Normally I'd agree with LT. However, a Midlands derby game where a Tigers hooker collects an offload and then dodges through a couple of would be tacklers and runs it in from halfway with an audacious dummy to see off the full back thrown in as well. That has to win for me. Slight element of bias but there you go.
