I think he'll have another 2 years at Utd at least. There's a clause in his contract that if he moves on before 1st July 2018 then Monaco get 50% of the fee.

No player in the history of the game, even Pele, has scored the kind of goals Messi has scored. Not even Maradona has scored even half of the marauding goals Messi is famed for - drifting past 6 challenges and curling the ball in the corner. For a midget, he leapt as high as the Shard to score a header against United in the CL final.

Real Madrid bias clearly dictates that you hate the guy - that's fine - but you cannot deny he is the scorer of astonishing goals, goals that no other player in history has scored so frequently. I honestly can't remember the guy ever scoring a tap in. Unlike Ronaldo.

You lot can continue to cream over Messi but I am the only sane one here. Sure he's scored a couple of good goals against crap teams but he also has a dark side. From not signing autographs and disrespecting elderly people to making little kids try, this video will show you lot the REAL Messi. Open your eyes people before its too late.........

Cat? Ronaldo left his fishing town as a little kid to achieve his goals, his father died as an alcoholic when he was still a teenager, no father figure but this didn't stop him. You can call him many things but not a Cat. On a different note and despite buying a new RB this week, Hysaj has been quality at the Euros so far.

He's a good young player, but think other United players generally being mediocre last year inflated his reputation quite a bit by comparison.

He's an exceptional young player, I'm a fickle form player but jeez some people on this forum rate players based on their last game at times and forget anything else.

I haven't seen anything on Martial to make me think he's anything B other than a good young player. But he's made out to be the next Thierry Henry which I don't see.

And it's a game of opinions. Personally I've never rated Ribery that highly either.

He's nowhere close to Griezmann, but there's not many I'd rather have at that age and with what he's shown in an awful side this season

I'm not writing him off.

But my comment was that I couldn't believe France would drop Griezmann for Martial because he is not on the same level.

He could go on to be the next Henry, but at the moment I don't see it.

For me there's currently few and far players at his age that have reached the heights he's already reached and that have a potential ceiling that he has.

He was good last year but I just didn't see a truly special talent.

I don't see those heights Hero. He didn't set the Premier League on fire. He had some great moments and some not so great.

I think some of his peaks are exaggerated by direct comparison to some of his ordinary teammates.

I'd put him just as much in the bracket of Alli, Sane, Embolo, Coman, Meyer, Sanches, Shaw etc.

Of course it's all conjecture and speculation but that's the gamble clubs take and Utd gambled on his huge fee with clauses such as getting the Ballon D'or included so that shows how highly he was rated on that.
Heights?
Well for Monaco he scored the most goals of any teenager that season in any of the top 5 leagues.
He's already won a Premier League Player of the Month award in his debut season.
He's also won this season's Golden Boy award that's given out by journalists to the player across Europe who's impressed them most over the past 12 months and is under 21. So yeah he's already hit a few heights.

Whether those are heights or not is questionable.

I think he has huge potential and reiterate my original point was the madness of dropping Griezmann for Martial, which all opinions seen, seem to back up.

Well they're measuring sticks against his peers and ones that currently he's surpassing them.

What do you think to Witsel potentially joining you Afro?

Drop Giroud and play Martial and Griezmann up front with Payet behind them. Then you have the best of both worlds.

Not sure TBH. He would cost a lot and potentially the type of player we need. I'd prefer Strootman to him TBH, but Witsel feels more probable.
