I think he'll have another 2 years at Utd at least. There's a clause in his contract that if he moves on before 1st July 2018 then Monaco get 50% of the fee.

Re: The World League II
Messi's a decent little player but one of the greatest is stretching it imo. The reason why Messi has excelled at Barca is because of the type of players that have been setting up all his tap ins that he scores. First it was Ronaldinho, then Xavi, then Iniesta and now Neymar and Suarez are his bum buddies. It's the harsh truth of the reality of Messi.GSC wrote:And because Messi's one of the greatest players ever, small detail

If Mourinho fixes Utd he'll be there for another few seasons I reckon, but no CL football and he'll be off to one of the big boys, not an oil team

Because deep down inside your heart you know it's true. Your mind has given you the impression that Messi is a god amongst men but in reality he is a tax evading, drug using, power hungry megalomaniac. He might be able to deceive you but I can see through his "Mr Perfect" act.GSC wrote:Not even remotely tempted to bite on that one Nadz.

Re: The World League II
Stop trying to change the topic nando! We are talking about a very sensitive topic here in a player who is not who he seems. The reason Carles Puyol retired in 2014 was because of pressure from Messi. Puyol was giving Messi some helpful advice as per older experienced players do but Messi didn't like it so he complained to the board to get rid of Puyol or he'll leave. The board bowed down to Messi's request and Puyol retired in shame. That is the real Messi.Fernando wrote:Ronaldo is a big game bottler for club & country it seems

Morning gays.
Messi > Ronaldo
Can't get more of a bottler than Henry, never scored in a final.

Re: The World League II
Ronaldo is such a pu$$y, what kind of Joey Deacon refuses to shake the hands of his opponents after a game? He's a coward, a fraud, and a thoroughly despicable human being. I'd happily let England get slaughtered 100-0 in every game they ever play if it means I can see Ronaldo in tears. He is literally an adult baby.

Re: The World League II
No player in the history of the game, even Pele, has scored the kind of goals Messi has scored. Not even Maradona has scored even half of the marauding goals Messi is famed for - drifting past 6 challenges and curling the ball in the corner. For a midget, he leapt as high as the Shard to score a header against United in the CL final.nadeem2099 wrote:Messi's a decent little player but one of the greatest is stretching it imo. Real Madrid bias clearly dictates that you hate the guy - that's fine - but you cannot deny he is the scorer of astonishing goals, goals that no other player in history has scored so frequently. I honestly can't remember the guy ever scoring a tap in. Unlike Ronaldo.

Re: The World League II
You lot can continue to cream over Messi but I am the only sane one here. Sure he's scored a couple of good goals against crap teams but he also has a dark side. From not signing autographs and disrespecting elderly people to making little kids try, this video will show you lot the REAL Messi. Open your eyes people before its too late.........
And regarding Ronaldo not shaking hands I'll give you Joachim Low's hands on approach as an example. Would you shake that man's hand?

Cat? Ronaldo left his fishing town as a little kid to achieve his goals, his father died as an alcoholic when he was still a teenager, no father figure but this didn't stop him. You can call him many things but not a Cat. Why should he shake hands with silly billy who try to break his legs all game, call him all names under the sun, abuse his mum and son, I don't believe in this BS shaking hands. Cowards don't play for clubs like Man Utd or Real Madrid, captain their country, take responsibility when all others shrivel under the pressure, frauds don't win the balon dor or multiple league titles, champions league personal awards. He does so much for charity and the less fortunate, so what if he wants to look good, wear expensive clothes, cars, houses etc it does not affect his ability on the pitch. Ronaldo is made out to be the bad guy when Messi really is the snake. Why do you give a Poopie about England? Last I remember you stopped watching them before Euro 2004.

Good job neither of you are in the league then
On a different note and despite buying a new RB this week, Hysaj has been quality at the Euros so far.

He's a good young player, but think other United players generally being mediocre last year inflated his reputation quite a bit by comparison.

He's an exceptional young player, I'm a fickle form player but jeez some people on this forum rate players based on their last game at times and forget anything else.

I haven't seen anything on Martial to make me think he's anything B other than a good young player. But he's made out to be the next Thierry Henry which I don't see.

genuinely wasn't wumming.
Think he is good but not as good as made out .
And nowhere near Griezmanns quality.

Entitled to your opinion, personally think it's the wrong view, he's not at Griezmann levels of quality as it stands, that's obvious, Griezmann has been top five in the world this year.
Martial is still 20, not many players by his age had already reached such a high standard.

He's nowhere close to Griezmann, but there's not many I'd rather have at that age and with what he's shown in an awful side this season

I'm not writing him off.
But my comment was that I couldn't believe France would drop Griezmann for Martial because he is not on the same level.
He could go on to be the next Henry, but at the moment I don't see it.

For me there's currently few and far players at his age that have reached the heights he's already reached and that have a potential ceiling that he has.

I don't see those heights Hero. He didn't set the Premier League on fire. He had some great moments and some not so great.

Re: The World League II
Okay, what other 20 year olds are as good if not better than him?
I'd put him just as much in the bracket of Alli, Sane, Embolo, Coman, Meyer, Sanches, Shaw etc.

As did Ronaldo in his first season. Martial had a better 1st season than CR7 tbh.

Re: The World League II
I remember Wilshere, Walcott, Rooney, Sterling, Ronaldo, Sinclair, Rodwell, Isco etc having exceptional moments at a young age.
Some of those went on to great things and some didn't be more than good players.
I'd like to know what these heights he has hit are coz I remember moments (like the semi final goal v us ) but I wouldn't call them evidence of a future world beater.
I'd call him a potential future Henry given the right coaching etc. It's he age old potential v existing ability debate

Of course it's all conjecture and speculation but that's the gamble clubs take and Utd gambled on his huge fee with clauses such as getting the Ballon D'or included so that shows how highly he was rated on that.
Heights?
Well for Monaco he scored the most goals of any teenager that season in any of the top 5 leagues.
He's already won a Premier League Player of the Month award in his debut season.
He's also won this season's Golden Boy award that's given out by journalists to the player across Europe who's impressed them most over the past 12 months and is under 21. So yeah he's already hit a few heights.

Whether those are heights or not is questionable.
I think he has huge potential and reiterate my original point was the madness of dropping Griezmann for Martial, which all opinions seen, seem to back up.

Will the Iranian owners pay from their own pocket or will you be using the money you'll be getting for Baines from Bayern?
Re: The World League II
I can't see Baines going to to Bayern. A few years ago maybe, but not now.

Drop Giroud and play Martial and Griezmann up front with Payet behind them. Then you have the best of both worlds.

Not sure TBH. He would cost a lot and potentially the type of player we need. I'd prefer Strootman to him TBH, but Witsel feels more probable.
