Norway pay less per head for their trade agreement then Britain do and they aren't even in the EU. They do allow free movement of EU citizens though.
Norway have their sh*t together.
Id rather be in control of who runs the country then someone we get no choice over.

Do we realistically have any say over the EU now?

They don't want to be apart of the EU though. Their paying for free movement & their trade agreement that's literally it they can run their control how they want without sticking to EU regulations like we have too.
People pay for visa's to go abroad away. You even have to pay to get into sh*tty Wales
Even if vote leave it will be another 4 years before anything happens.
Id rather be apart of something like that then being apart of a hitler style european superstate.

Hero, seeing as it doesn't make a difference to non-EU immigration, you can have all the EU players but we get all the South Americans

Re: The World League II
I think anyone who votes leave is just too easily influenced.
Not one solid argument to tell you what will happen either way so voting out is a gigantic leap into the unknown.
It's like sacking Mourinho because there is a raffle for a new manager and you could get Guardiola or you could get John Barnes. Is it worth the risk?

If we want to trade with the EU we will still have to adhere to EU law. But we will get no say in making it. We will have less control not more.
Complete misconception.

Re: The World League II
The misconception for me is that we have any real say at present anyway.
Or that the EU is interested in further reform.
I have no interest in being part of a big Euro superstate where we're dragging along other countries.

We get no say anyway Afro. There is no justification for being a part of something we can't control.
We were just as well outside of it and we would be again.
I'd rather be apart of something we can control. If you believe that Europe will just cut us off altogether then more fool you.
Ps. I do not read newspapers.

Re: The World League II
I don't believe Europe will cut us off. But I believe they will make it difficult for us to trade with them to stop contagion and other countries right wing euro sceptic parties from thinking it is easy.
We will trade with Europe same as before, and we will therefore have to adhere to their regulations, just we won't have any say in those regulations.
And I am not sure where the opinion that we have little say comes from. That just isn't true and is something the sun were throwing about, hence my question.

And if Europe make it difficult that only gives other euro sceptics more ammunition against them.

Re: The World League II
It does the opposite. The biggest argument for leaving has always been that you can have the same partnership without someone else dictating. Making it difficult shows that it will be a worse deal and still no control

For all of the stereotypes about people who voted leave, I do wonder if they'd have reacted quite as poorly as people who voted Remain have should the vote had been reversed.

In my mind the reaction is not because of losing the vote. I think it is an amazing show of democracy and everyone getting an equal say. We should be commended for doing it and how we have done it.
The reaction is anxiety about what is coming. I genuinely think it is bizarre to think leaving is the right thing to do when we are just starting to recover from a double dip recession. We do not know what we gain or what we risk by doing so, so its like jumping into a dark hole. There could be a trampoline or just a big hole, but would you risk jumping.
And to cap it all off, Boris Johnson is odds on to be our next leader. Whilst I'm not a David Cameron fan, its better the devil you know, than the devil you don't. (which applies to leaving the EU too!)

Re: The World League II
Which is fine, but all the petty insults and general holier than thou attitude are similarly bizarre to me when a majority of people eligible to vote voted for this.
I'm sure there's an percentage of people who voted leave that are knuckle draggers, but grouping everyone under that because they don't share your viewpoint is just immature. I expect it from some, but not you Afro.

Re: The World League II
I don't think people who voted Leave are knuckle draggers at all, same as I don't think Remain voters were educated. Far from it.
But older generations (coz that is the demographic that it will show swung it, like it does in General Elections) taking risks for the future that my children will have to live in is emotive and I worry for them.

Similarly though, if people that did vote to join previously now regret it, is that not a warning shot in itself?

Re: The World League II
I can understand that.
For me I look at the EU and just think we can do so much better than this, and they clearly are not interested in any significant reform. Maybe we are the shot that prompts it, but voting remain would most likely be treated as a mandate to continue Imo.

Re: The World League II
I respect that.
I feel we have made a massive mistake and now reform is less likely as we have no position to push for it, whilst still being directly influenced by it.

Miky, does your rules page confirm that subs to be made are outside of the 100 words? Or is it all included

Alright, I need to be honest, I'm going to have to quit this league. I don't want to but basically I do most of my v2ing at work, and today I got a bit of a bollocking for not getting things done. Seeing as I'm halfway through my probation period I need to get rid of all the distractions I have or risk losing my job.

I don't have computer access (only mobile) outside of work so not really, although I already did tactics for this week.
There's time to find a new manager to finish the season though. Afro?
