We continue, unlike our Football team manager and our PM we don't quit after the first sign of struggle.
Re: The World League II
It was either quit with some honour and self respect intact or get sacked and live the rest of his life in shame and misfortune regarding Hodgson.FIFA Diva wrote:We continue, unlike our Football team manager and our PM we don't quit after the first sign of struggle.

Regarding Hodgson, his contract was up once the Euros. He resigned from a job that was technically over anyway!

Looks like Roy had the last laugh then.
"He who laughs last gets the first laugh after the guy who laughs before him. And if he laughs that time then imagine how good the laugh will be when you last laugh last."

Re: The World League II
If you mean my PM Hero I only wanted to raise the question for the future.
If we started a new league not much would change, I would consider everything people said and we would discuss it but a lot of it isn't broken.
If people want a new league then we can poll it officially.

Re: The World League II
I kinda feel for Roy. His record will be villified but the 2012 and 2014 squads were the most talent deficient in England's history.
Yesterday players like Wayne Rooney couldn't complete a 5 yard pass. Kane couldn't keep free kicks in play. Nobody could control a ball. There were glaring errors made by Roy, but professionals failed to do even the basics.

It doesn't help playing an out of form forward up top and your best in the box finisher RW.

Re: The World League II
Kane was the PLs top scorer, can hardly blame him for making him first choice. Vardy and Sturridge hardly burst down the door vs Slovakia.
His error was only bringing one winger

Re: The World League II
If he couldn't figure after the group stage that Harry was unfit & out of form then there was no saving us.
Even if not bursting the door down you don't play someone that out of form, Id have been more effective up front.

Agreed Kane was the right first choice, but he just looked so disjointed in the group stages I would have made a change
Genuinely think Rashford could have offered something too

I'm guessing the hope was giving Kane a week between games would get him right.

We really needed Andy Carroll as a plan b in the Euros. He defo would have made a difference.

The only player that would've made a real different is a healthy Wilshere.

Or the guy who outperformed him and won a PL medal Danny Drinkwater...

Thanks to all for sending tactics, I will write them up tonight if I get chance.
I say let's finish the season and discuss the league then.

The way all our games went he'd have been a wasted spot.

Though the answer would be sell Lingard, keep Chiellini.

Re: The World League II
Lets try and thrash out a deal. I don't think us two have ever done a deal.
Are you looking for a cash, player exchange or both ?

Rodriguez is a good addition, gives the width which allows Silva to tuck in.
Any chance of Nainggolan?
