How old is Roko?

That looked like a great game. I really do not like the style of play in the top 14 (Bordeaux aside) but they did a lot more than just maul and try to bully each other by the looks of it.

Did not see why Fofana's first try got chalked off. Any explanation? He seemed to be at the heart of Clermont's success. How he is not always kept at 12 by France is beyond me.

This was clearly a one off as far as the play offs and finals are concerned where most teams grind their way to victory through penalties and rucks.
The final is far from this standard so far...

Harsh red card to Machenaud. Racing doing well to be only 2 points down at HT.

Nice try by Racing to stretch the lead whilst down to 14 men. Halfpenny will not want to see that played back again, he gets turned over with poor ball placement at the ruck and then gets nowhere near the Flying Rockocko with his attempted cover tackle.

Racing done well to hold a 5 points lead towards the end when Toulon was opting for a scrum just near Racing posts. Not a fan of this club and mainly their president but that was a gusty and spirited performance. And another title for Dan Carter and ROG.

Carter controlled the game well and Imhoff did a good job as both a winger and a scrum half. I thought Masoe really held that defence together, some massive hits to stop Toulon momentum and force knock ons.

Slightly odd to go for the scrum under the posts I thought.

Edit : Dan Carter already won the Brennus with Perpignan during his first short stint in the T14. The man oozes class in whatever he does. Simple stuff but near perfect execution. Goosen was Man of the match and his new positioning at centre was a great choice.tameifuma and masoe were also very impressive and instrumental to racing win.

I think because Dan Carter nearly always makes the right decision and executes with a high skill level he makes it look easy and simple. Very intelligent player.

I was lucky enough to be at the final (50th birthday present from the missus!!!!). Stadium, atmosphere and weather were amazing. The way that Racing clawed their way back into the game was unbelievable.
Carter and Goosen hardly put a foot wrong. Chavancy was brutal in contact and Dulin was always dangerous returning a high ball. The  ability of Ben Arous, Lauret, Le Roux and Masoe to slow Toulon's massive pack and also turn over a huge amount of ball ( take a bow Eddy Ben Arous) meant that Toulon couldn't get much of a pattern on their attacking play.
It undoubtedly didn't help that Nonu and Vermulean were missing from the Toulon squad, through injury.
Racing's fitness, attitude and great decision making from the two Laurents meant that they were worthy winners. Imhoff's class, being able to play at 9 was also unbelievable.
The game and metro journey back to the hotel with thousands of drunken, good-natured french men, and women, singing the traditional songs of the top 14 teams will live long in my memory. Best birthday present ever.
