Newcastle are starting to look very strong. If they continue in this current form they will be difficult to beat this season.

Much improved performance last night, still not brilliant by any stretch of the imagination but a wins a win and ill take ugly 1-0 wins any day of the week.

Lewis Dunk outstanding again.

Tough game for us next Saturday John.
Wouldn't surprise me if you came to VP and had a good win.

I did think Newcastle would have another few home defeats.
The way the league is.

Another draw from us today. We just can't seem to get that win.
I suppose we haven't lost since Bristol City, so there is a positive.

Yeah, huge game. Can see Rafa taking us back to basics for that game, similar to our performance against Derby. I think RDM will have you guys massively pumped for that game & try & use it as a 'season starter' or launch pad to go on from. Weird performance from us today, we will either lose confidence from it or it will be a kick up the ass & we will get a reaction at VP. Whatever happens, it will be tight. Expect a 0-0 or 1-0 scoreline.

Had our chances to get something, but when you play a team like Norwich you cant afford to squander anything and expect to get anything.

Solid week for us - 9pts from 9. Still haven't really put together our best, but we ground out two wins earlier in the week and showed good resilience today to come back from 1 down

Forest have some handy players but the defence is a mess

Solid win in the end at Burton, they weren't interested in anything other than a point and made it very hard for us. Thankfully a rare correct decision from the official and Hemed, doesn't waste penalties.

Still good away game and great day out. Another ground ticked of the list as well.

Top of the league and we have barely put together a good 45 minutes let alone a good 90

Two points dropped, should of been out of sight first half & with Diame's miss. Woeful second half though, totally complacent & let Villa back in, who were beyond awful. Need to beat Norwich now on Wednesday, to make up for this missed opportunity.

Comedian olly Very Happy

Very poor first half, Newcastle should have been out of sight at half time.

Much better in the second half from us.
Kodjia looked very good, looks a great signing.

Westwood and Bacuna need to be dropped.

Could well have won it.
Play like we did in second half next week we should hopefully get 6 points.

Said at the start of the season that you were favourites & it's panning out that way. We're playing pretty crap stuff tbh, Rafa's style doesn't really allow us to finish off teams the way I would like, so quite frustrating. We've lost at home to Huddersfield & Wolves already, so if we lose on Wednesday, that would be a seven point gap to Norwich. Sels, Diame & Gayle need to be dropped for Wednesday.

Was gonna say the little I've seen of your new goalkeeper I can't believe he's keeping Darlow out of the side...

Should be an interesting game - I'm expecting us to bring in Tettey to sure up the midfield and maybe have Howson wide for Murphy. Neil tends to like that in these "bigger" games.

He's literally awful. He's a good shot-stopper, but he needs twelve months adjusting to English football & the way he flaps at everything, is just horrifying to watch. Been numerous fan polls giving him no confidence & demanding Darlow to be re-instated.

I can't see us reproducing that 6-2 we did last season over you, that's for sure.

Genuinely quite impressed that we've lost 4-3 after conceding two goals in the 96th minute, in a game we should've both won 3-1 and been 5-0 down after 20 minutes in.

Everything else is just gonna be a massive disappointment from here on in

Good point at Ipswich this week, however i really don't like our chances tomorrow at Sheffield Wednesday, with no Kayal and Stephens in the middle of the park. Time for Norwood to show what he can do and Sidwell to really step up!

Should be a good day out though, and another ground to tick off the old list. v

Fantastic win at Sheffield Wednesday. We weren't even that great, Chris Hughton just got his tactics spot on and it worked a treat.

Lewis Dunk and Shane Duffy really look a great partnership and Ollie Norwood ran the show.
