More bad news for the Scarlets. Samson Lee is out against Connacht because he has a virus. Hope it isn't too serious and he makes a full recovery.

It wouldn't be a disaster if we lost against Connacht. It's the taking part that counts. It's all just a bit of fun. There's no need to take rugby too seriously. But I sincerely believe that the Scarlets are good enough to beat the champions on Saturday.

The Scarlets are now in talks with the WRU and Liam Williams about a NDC. I have heard mutterings that the whole Ospreys move may have been mentioned in an attempt to speed the WRU into negotiations.

That sounds about right to me. Be careful using WOL though, I get tarred and feathered for it.

Here's this saddo, victim mentality again. If you're going to cry at least get the reasoning behind it right. It's taking you longer than usual to fawn over and then copy and paste it here because you want everybody to read it - so I'm wondering if you're having difficulty? Here's a tip: Ctrl C followed by Ctrl V.

I think re-signing Liam Williams would be foolish. We have a debt to pay back. How do we save money in order to pay back the debt? By not re-signing Liam Williams.

Wow, from June 2015. That's current news.
Sanj on an NDC will cost 60% less than he would at the moment, so we could give him a huge pay rise and still save.

Unless I have misread something somewhere, the hotel room alone would normally cost more that the Scarlets trip in full.

I tend not to do away games, or to organise my travel/stay myself, but I am very tempted by this. Although, I have heard muttering that the club don't have any ticket allocation, so I assume there will be an extra few quid on top to get tickets, if that is true.

Some disturbing news in the media regarding Liam Williams. Firstky it looks as though the WRU will not pay what the English and French clubs will offer:-
http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/rugby/rugby-news/wru-refuse-match-bumper-salary-11948407
Secondly, it looks as though some of the big hitters from England and France are sniffing around, Saracens are rumoured to be circling:-

He is a man in demand:-

Time will tell what actual offers are on the table, and if/where he goes. At the moment, it is pretty much just people saying, "yeah a player of his talent would fit in here" and the fail running with it.

Someone at fail needs maths lessons. WRU are looking at a £250k plus deal for Liam. The fail said the union of 3.3M to play NDCs a year, and if everyone were on a 300k contract that means they can only have 8 on NDCs. I worked it out, a 300k contract cost the WRU 180k, so that's 18 players. Pretty poor journo work there.

The fail have their definitive guide to who is out of contract this season (which has a fair few players missing off it, but hey they said definitive so I must be wrong)
NDCs coming up include:
Sam Warburton
Samson Lee
Gareth Anscombe
Hallam Amos
NDCs possibly going to be offered:
Leigh Halfpenny
Liam Williams
Rob Evans
Ken Owens
Ross Moriarty

It will be interesting to see how many players in certain positions that they would like on NDC's. With Gethin not having an NDC, that would make sense for Rob Evans to be offered one. But would Moriarty get one with Lydiate and King already on one? Likewise the two fullbacks (although one is likely to be on the wing a lot)

I though that and then wondered if £300k was just the WRU share?!? Probably not as that would make him on a £500k contract.
If sanjay is going to be on £300k then Webb, Biggar, AWJ, Warburton must be close to that or even eclipse it

Realistically, in an ideal world I would just have the elite players on it so Webb, AWJ, Biggar, North, Halfpenn, L Williams etc
No need for Ken Owen or Eob Evans to be given one as the regions can easily afford their salaries. Same with Amos, Morgan, Anscombe, Baker, Ball, King, Thornton, Baldwin etc Its just a waste of money being given to those

Raven, it should be the players that are in the 'when fit' strongest XV, and then if there is cash the players that are in the 'when fit' strongest 23, and then finally on squad filler.

"In the end we were probably lucky to get away with a win."
Pivac says his side must learn "not to get ahead of ourselves".
He added: "We've had three wins in a row, but against sides that haven't been performing that well so we've just got to be realistic as to where we're at at this stage of the season and keep building."
So is Pivac a WUM now as well?

Where have similar things been posted on here and met with complaints about wind up merchants? And did Pivac drop those comments into a dead chat just to see the reaction, or was it during an interview when people actually wanted to hear what he thought?

I've said the Scarlets are underperforming and said recent opposition wasn't great hence not a good indicator of form, and I got called a WUM. Pivac is suggesting what I've already said and Martyn Williams insinuated it not so long ago on scrum V. These guys must be WUMs.

I don't think anything has been signed. Would have loved to see him at the Dragons.
