Cheers, JimBob. Think you're spot on with the 3 to miss out.

You going tonight? I'm not but should be there on Monday for the RL 50 against Glamorgan.

Btw, Spills reports Zaf as ''hoping'' to be back for the CC match away to Middlesex starting on Thursday.

Not guaranteed on Zaf, JimBob. Still encouraging though.

Hope Le Roi king and Finchy give you a few sixes to catch up on the balcony! Very Happy

Good start. 83/0 off 8. Two sixes from Le Roi king - no news at this stage if JimBob held onto either of 'em. Very Happy

Meanwhile, Glamorgan doing ok against Essex - remember we're also honorary Welshmen tonight as we also need them to win if we are to advance to the next round!

''If he bats 12 overs, we win the game'' - Alec Stewart last year to a member grumbling about Roy's t20 performances. Well, think it can be safely said that Stewie should be right tonight.

Real worry is Glamorgan stuttering now against Essex.

Brilliant innings by Roy there. clap clap   I think his partnership with Finch was the highest Surrey partnership for any wicket in T20.  We faltered slightly towards the end, but 212 - 4 is an excellent score.

AAAAAGGGHHHH!!!!!

Glam push on and get to 184/5 off their 20 but play now stopped due to rain.

One point for Essex from a no result will see us go out.

Kent just about still in it - 106/3 off 12. Need to double that in the last 8 - very difficult but not impossible.

Meanwhile, pitch inspection at 9pm at Chelmsford.

Morris takes a couple of wickets in an over. clap  109 - 5. Required run rate up to about 15.  Not impossible, but if we continue to take wickets that will make it very difficult for Kent.

Annoying as we seem to be running into some good form but we can't ignore our earlier inconsistency. Results then just as important as tonight.

Unfortunately not - two horrific losses to Glamorgan, a side we really should be beating the standout losses. Still, winning this game keeps up our recent winning streak, and good to see Roy back in the runs (also Finch - what a good signing he has been imo!)

Olly - you always seem on the ball for this sort of thing, any idea what's Finch's availability is likely to be next season? Quite a few of the Oval regulars would be keen to sign him as Sanga's replacement.

Roy king has hit all four of the centuries scored by Surrey in T20.  He is also well ahead of both Ramps and Davies when it comes to Surrey half centuries (18, 13, 10).

Can't imagine he'll have great availability - assuming he goes to the IPL he'll be unavailable for the start of the season, then of course in early June its the Champions Trophy (and then possibly CPL - or a much needed break!)

Only hope would be he misses the IPL to prepare for the Champions Trophy by playing in English conditions - unlikely in my eyes

Guildford - I had a quick look at the tosses in last 6 matches in each competition (accuracy of search not guaranteed)

In T20 we won the toss in 5/6 matches
In 50 over comp we won toss in 6/6
In cc we won toss in 6/6.

That is quite remarkable! Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked  Has Mr Batty got a funny coin!  Erm

Cheers, Olly. With the Champions Trophy as well next season as you say, it's hard to imagine many being available much at all.
