The Music of Wrestling
I feel like every so often we have threads where we talk about our favourite entrances and/or PPV themes, but Bobby Roode's NXT theme needs to be heard by as many people as possible, so its a new thread mainly to just shove this in people's faces

This is playing on my ipod (on a premanent loop) next time I go for a run. Just so much wow in this tune!
Definitely up there with Vinnie Mac's - Stand Back.

They've really been knocking it out of the park with these new themes.

I love James Storm's theme Longnecks and Rednecks.
Also liked Bobby Roode's Off the Chain, when he was in TNA.
Best one I've ever heard though has to be Sting's TNA music - Slay Me by Dale Oliver. Absolutely brutal!

EC3s trouble is great.
Always loved the Aces and 8s theme too.
AS an entrance, The Miracle Mike Bennet is excellent

Re: The Music of Wrestling
Joe Hendry's "Local Hero" theme from wcpw is the greatest of all time
That or "Break the Walls Down" - still get excited when that hits - think it still brings back memories of the debut every time. That theme felt fresh and game-changing at the time - IMO

I used to love Jericho's with the classic countdown.
Anything with a high impact sudden entrance works for me. Thats why the glass shatter will live on forever

One thing WWE has always done right is the promo packages before matches and entrance music

Legion of Doom's
Ultimate Warrior
Undertaker
Mr. Perfect
I am a fan of anything wrote by Jim Johnston. Most of it was played on a loop but that's all you needed for an entrance that usually took no more than a couple of minutes.

Re: The Music of Wrestling
The Undertaker probably has the best entrance I've ever seen...fantastically theatrical and creepy.
Always thought Warrior's music was pretty so-so...but then I don't think anyone paid much attention to it after the first few seconds. Everyone was too busy watching the furiously bouncing mass of hair and tassels, the rope-pulling etc.

Re: The Music of Wrestling
The Warrior's music was the perfect fit, it was hard, fast and chaotic, exactly like the character, if ever music fit perfectly to someone it was definitely that.

Re: The Music of Wrestling
Nakamura is my current absolute favourite entrance, with Demon Balor a close second.
Outside WWE you've got Grado when they're allowed to play Madonna. The aforementioned Joe Hendry songs are always a laugh. 'The Love sacks' Kenny Williams coming out to Power of Love, cant beat it.

Ah man what an entrance he had - such a wasted talent, how did WWE manage to screw him up

Re: The Music of Wrestling
Wouldn't say he's a wasted talent in the slightest
Only wasted by WWE.
He's been brilliant in every other company he has worked in and managed to keep himself relevant, talked about and revered. He has certainly not wasted his talent since being released by WWE.

CF0$ are currently resurrecting wrestling music. Balor, Nak, Roode, even Owens and Zayn. Wwe weren't the only ones who went through a real period of just putting music there for the sake of it, but there's been a revival and it's beautiful

I've always thought Grado should come out to I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles) by The Proclaimers.
