I have no strong feeling on budgets (even though I have the lowest value squad in the league).

I would prefer to keep it to 2 TPs before the season starts. Make your mark over time, and see how well you can work with what you have for a bit. Bit more realistic in my opinion.

I will take a slight step back in the transfer area this time. I believe CF will make the right signings for our prosperous club and create a title winning side with a mixture of youth and experienced players. Don't underestimate CF you heathens!

That's not realistic though, if we wanted realistic we'd have as many transfers as we want until the end of week 3 and then closed until the window.

To be honest, it's not the realism or not that makes a difference to me.

Just don't think there needs to be such a rush to get as many TPs in as possible before the start. I think 2 is a good start, build your side over time!

I'd actually start the game with first tactics before any TPs, but realise I'd be shot down on that one.

What im going to suggest is the following

2 TP's a week
£25m Budget
If want an extra TP in the 1st 3 weeks it will cost you £2.5m per TP.

Good compromise Nando.

Go with my original timeline of domestics this week and TPs next week, with the option of £2.5m to buy additional TPs.

Don't forget that if you accept lawyers, you get more TPs anyway

- Budget £25m
- 4 Injuries
- 25 man Squad
- £2m bonus for all
- Two TP + 1 for every Lawyer accepted - 3rd TP available for 2.5M IN 1st 3 weeks
- 2 Lawyers - 1 @ +5% & 1 @ -5%
- Releases between seasons
- Afro's voting idea - Which is set in place
- 150 Word Tactics - Including Team Talk & Subs

It was at 1 TP a week + Lawyers sold

So that's up for debate but everything else seems set imo.

Id prefer 1 + whatever you sell in lawyers as smaller clubs usually have to sell before buying.

I'm assuming the 25 man squad is a maximum? If so do we have a minimum too?

Minimum would be 15. So 11 + 1 of each position but ud have to be very silly to put yourself in that position

Minimum should be 18 for a full 11 + 7 subs and however injuries you have.

If you have 3 injuries them 21 etc.

Well we've got 4 injuries so we may want to consider having a higher squad number if we go with that ruling.

Can we enforce punishments for rule breaking this time too .. defeats the point if some are playing to them and some arent

£1m fine for being over/under the limit - random spot checks from anyone who feels that way inclined

If you prefer

Going over the limit will cause any players signed that push you over the limit to be unavailable until corrected. Basically they can't be registered.

Being under removes one lawyer until corrected.

And for teams who have over 25 players at the start, there seems to be two options.

They either elect to shed players (for no money back), or they have so many weeks grace to get down to the required number.

Given we are doing even budgets for all and teams were drawn randomly, I'm in favour of the first one. In fact, any team can shed players for nothing as long as they don't go under the minimum squad limit

Let's agree the approach and get the rules up.

I think Nando summarised it well yesterday so let's start with that and tweak if necessary.

I agree with what's been said, two points:

1. I've cut my team down to 25, I thought that was the point of the approach, so that everyone starts with 25 players.

2. There definitely has to be a bidding war or some kind of system to decide who gets players in the first two weeks.

Agree with both Trebs.

If it's only a minimum level of transfer incoming then I don't think there's a need for a bidding system.

I think for the first round of foreigns there is going to be a lot of interest in the same players.

How about we do a draft style for the first round of TPs with everyone signing up to a max of 3 players? Same approach as we have used when we drafted whole squads in the past.

Seems like a good compromise. Get more than 2 signings, but it isn't a first come, first served basis either.

Mix it up, have open bidding.

Be a laugh if nothing else.

Realistically people will have to cut to 23 if want to buy people anyway.

Im off the opinion that a star player system should be used so everyone atleast get's 1 player then your left with 1TP & another if pay £2.5m

I don't see the point of star players though - if someone wants to buy 3 £8m players that's fine, if one £25m player that's also fine.

I literally don't care either way aslong as it gets sorted.

So how does this sound:

Budget: £25m

Max squad 25 from the start

For squads over 25 to start with, managers have to shed players to get down to 25 minimum

If over squad limit, players signed over the limit are not eligible until there is a squad space for them. First in basis with the players who you have had longer being in the squad first.

4 injuries

£2m bonus each week for all

Pre-season TPs: Up to 3 signings each, done on a draft style with highest bidder getting player. Multiple rounds until all managers have made 3 signings (unless a manager opts not to sign 3). There needs to be space in the squad to sign players

Regular TPs: 2 per week + one for each lawyer accepted. 3rd TP available for £2.5m in each of the first 2 weeks of season

2 lawyers per week: one random with +5% price, one nominated with -5% price. 1 extra nominated available in first two weeks of the season with -10% price

150 word tactics including team talk, and subs instructions

3 managers vote on result – simple vote on who wins (no draws). Unanimous win gets +2 “goal difference”, split vote win gets +1 “goal difference”

Releases only between seasons and at 50% value

No match scores or goalscorers.

League table decided by:
1) Number of wins
2) Goal difference
3) Results between two teams

Looks good.
