So i spoke to Trebs tonight.

He thinks he needs to at least have chance to sign players and i agree, he isn't going to be near a computer til Saturday like i said the other day.

I feel we need to at least allow him to manage to get his bids in, is everyone else in agreement?

How long does it take on his phone to see how much Ibra costs?

I'm surprised no one bought Ibra. Very few strikers better at any price.

I considered it and then remembered hes about 15 years older than my usual age cap.

Trebs basically goes for Utd players that historically wouldn't be decent enough to wear a Utd shirt.
If we did this in 99 he'd pick Jordi Cruyff or David May.

He's got plenty to choose from, from the last 5 years.

I think Ibra will be snapped up sooner rather than later.

For me, it was needing to improve other areas of my squad and long term strategy to build a squad by building value

He's far too good of a player to be left out especially for his value. Trebs often picks him as well.

For the same price in your first round I'd have taken Ibra over Rashford hands down.

I wouldn't. Rashford at the current price is only going to rocket, can see him going to close to 20m on the next increase.

So you can spend that cash on a striker who's still worse than Ibra.

Or you can spend it on Ibra and have £10m in the kitty

I'm working on the assumption he's been bought by someone by the time Rashford increases and you get a random lawyer.

You don't have to get a random lawyer though in this set up.

You buy a player at 10m
They then go up on TM to 20m
You then choose to lawyer them at value -5% so get 19m
9m profit.
Happy days and no hanging around waiting for a random lawyer.

Still waiting for the increase in any case and hoping no one buys Ibra. I wouldn't bother over thinking it, get the world class striker now.

I think it's a straight choice of

1) one position sorted with as good as you will get for the duration of the game and then slower improvement to your whole squad;

Or 2) faster improvement across the whole squad but longer until you get to that top class type player.

Me personally, I am probably in the middle of the two, leaning towards 2)

Tips it to 1 for me when you consider the position of the player is typically far more important than any other in this game.

If it was a keeper sure id go down the lawyer fodder route.

I just like Rashford

Rashford has become your go to player since you stole him from hero in the last league. You two have become as thick as thieves, as they say.

He was like a magpie nabbing him last season.

Update from Trebs is that he is going to hopefully get some bids in tomorrow.

I asked him when he thought he would be able to and if Saturday was still possible in other words.

So I've realised that Lingard is £5.1m rather than the £7m I believed at the time of making the bid.

Would it be possible to retract this transfer? It's not been confirmed and the only reason I went for Rashford and Lingard was because it was the quickest answer which I was asked to give.
