With the new signings going on it seems a good time for a rule reminder.

Max squad size is 25. If you are over this number, then any new signings may not be able to play until there is a squad space for them.

And squad places are assigned based on longest serving first, so new signings are the first to be excluded in over sized squads.

I've made a PR thread for mainly me to spout about my players to mainly myself. It keeps me entertained.

Can we have a rule on the releases? Personally I was under the impression that I would get half value because the season hasn't yet started (and I was away last week?)

Also, I think the TP bids rule should be slightly tweaked/clarified because at this moment I think I can sign five players - which I don't think should be allowed.

Again, the rules are clear on releases. The only time you get money on releases, is between seasons. No one has released for half price, so you haven't lost out anything by not being around last week.

And whilst you could sign 5 players, you have to lose 3, two them for under their market value.

With squad limits and most people near the 25 mark, this isn't really going to be a recurring thing.

Can I make a suggestion that each week, we have a "Lead voter".

That person receives the tactics from all and posts them up on a page.

That person then also then collects the votes and feedback from the other two voters and posts the results.

It would mean each person does it three times throughout the season. The lead voter can be the person who is first in the list of voters.

I have taken Nando's original fixture/voters list and had a play, so that it has each person leading the voting 3 times. I'll stick them up on the fixtures page for Nando to copy and paste

My point is saying between seasons is ambiguous. I would argue that the season starts when the first game is played. You don't say the Premier League season has begun on the Monday before the opening weekend.

I accept that the point on when the season starts is ambiguous. We should tighten this up by stating a set day (Monday before the first fixture).

What isn't ambiguous is the between seasons bit. This clear defines that a season has finished and another season hasn't started yet.

This was deliberate to stop managers with bigger squad from just releasing players to raise money, and effectively get a boost to their starting budget over other teams.

I would say this has worked quite fairly.

The reason I suggested the 25 man squad limit was so that every team starts with 25 players. Then nobody gets the advantage from the bigger squad. In effect I released a number of other players for nothing by starting with this number.

What are other people's thoughts on releases? I can see both points of view have validity.

My own opinion is that it should stay as is - people still have squads full of players they won't see as long term options, so making it an option to release now will just result in a mass release of these players.

Releases down to 25 shouldn't count for any cash.

They don't TBH. It's the next step on releasing players within the 25.

Rules are currently that you can only release between seasons to get 50% value. You can release at other times, but get zilch.

And between seasons means after season 1 and before season 2 as the first window

Maybe could implement a transfer window since 21 weeks of fixtures

It's an idea. On the flip side of that is that means 44 lawyers (inc the 2 weeks of extra lawyers at the start) offers, including 23 nominated, whilst only 12 matches are played.

I genuinely think there will b enough opportunity to get rid of player you don't want, via the nominated lawyers

Whatever we do, we need to decide on something quickly, i thought we wanted to start this week?

Im quite happy as it is since can choose your own lawyer. Just a matter of timing it before their price goes up/down.

Im happy to keep things as they were in the rules from the beginning, lets not change anything and just go with it.

Releases are fine as they are in my opinion.

I'd keep releases as they are.
The nominated lawyers option is much better I think, I was initially apprehensive of the system but already love it, should really benefit those like myself that speculate to accumulate on players.

We need to move on, so it looks like we stick with the current approach to releases based on the general consensus.

And no one had any comment on the approach of lead voters each week. So unless anyone has serious objections, we go with it.

We only have 15 players for our first game.

There is no squad minimum really Nadz but you should have at least a squad that can play with enough subs etc even with your injuries.

That is completely ridiculous

Not in breach of any rules, but just poor management.

I would never have expected that from the managerial dream team of Nadz and CF....

I let cf cut the squad down to the 25 squad limit, he cut it down to 17 for some reason. I didn't complain though I sent him a pm yesterday but he hasn't replied yet so I just rustled up some tactics just in case. Bloody hard getting it down to 150 words!

those 8 players could have been a few million pounds from lawyers.

Thought it was suggested a minimum squad of 21 for an 18 man squad and 3 injuries

We didn't go with a minimum squad in the end.

If people don't have a squad big enough to put out a good side with subs, then that is their bad management tbh

As far as i'm concerned, everything is now decided and we are starting.
