Janmaat can't defend, a liability, hence why he's been dropped for Anita. We have Anita & Gamez, so not overly bothered about losing Daryl.

Yeah, pretty happy with £7.5m, seeing as he was defensively a liability. He'll be more suited in a wing back role at Watford. Yedlin to Newcastle for £5m is pretty much done.

Surely it's either his agents trying to make him seem wanted or there are just some bored journos who have written down every club they can think of and are pulling one out of the hat every few days to fill up space, because he doesn't seem to have got near a contract anywhere yet.

Because Liverpool are committed to paying him 110k a week for the next 2 years.

He had genuine world class talent but a Sunday league brain. Worth a punt for the right price seeing if you can switch it on at a lower level.

Jamie Sterry looks a youngster coming through who could be a little gem as well. Played well last night. So very happy with 7.5 for Janmaat.

£80k yeah.

Think only Milner, Mane and Sturridge are on over £100k now at Liverpool. Maybe Matip since he was also a free transfer, usually means higher wages.

I've only ever seen £80k reported. I know that he supposedly took a £40k pay cut when he left Milan and I believe that was from £120k.

Regardless, it's too much money, but certainly for the Premier League not a ridiculous amount for a team to pay, particularly as he will likely leave for very little.

The problem isn't the initial fee, its like this case and Milner, when they're on a deal for that amount of money, you cant shift them. Especially when in Balos case you're making a commitment to a guy that's comes with a massive amount of risk.

Liverpool might be able to absorb 80k for effectively nothing, lesser clubs can't.

Sad to see what's become of Balotelli's career. His talent is undeniable but what goes on between the ears seems to have destroyed his career. When you think that not even Mourinho could get through to him, it's pretty tragic TBH. He's tall, strong and quick. Could've been a great player.
