SURREY HAVE NAMED A 14 MAN SQUAD FOR THE SPECSAVERS COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIP GAME AGAINST WARWICKSHIRE AT EDGBASTON STARTING ON SATURDAY.
Kumar Sangakkara returns to the squad after playing in the recent Caribbean Premier League and winning the competition with the Jamaica Tallawahs. Gary Wilson and Arun Harinath are both named in the squad.
There is no place in the squad for Ravioli
The Surrey squad to play Warwickshire at Edgbaston on Saturday 13th August, Sunday 14th August, Monday 15th August and Tuesday 16th August :

Seriously, that is a first rate performance, fully worthy of Div 1 - vastly better than we produced in first half of the season.

Also I think it fair to say it rather vindicates Surrey's slightly surprising team selection.  All the multitude of bowlers played their part on a long hot day in winkling out Warks. And a relatively fresh pair of Currans would have been on standby if needed to finish things off with the new ball.

At this moment, Surrey are 2nd in the table!

As at 5pm today up to 2nd in the table - but we probably still need at least one more win to guarantee CC1 again next season. Crazy! Is the cup half full or half empty? Meuh - who cares, this afternoon it just runneth over

Great performance from the whole team....now we are temporarily in 2nd place...makes you wonder about a few 'what ifs'....eg that match against Somerset and the recent London derby....still very positive ..looking like we can avoid relegation and move on to next season!!
