I said yesterday that Darren Clarke might forget that Wood and Fitz are on the team until Sunday.

Could be a good shout GPB, but why would DC ignore Fitz? Such a strong start to his career and deserves the chance to show that he is better than the old guard like Westie and Sergio at the moment.

When the best of the European team were practising and weren't able to read the green, then that guy from the crowd said he could do better, and he did, with his putt going straight into the hole - I thought that was a bad omen for the European team.

Good exciting day of matches. Great play from the Yanks in the morning. and Great Play from the Euros in the afternoon.

Wouldn't be surprise to see Holmes, Kaymer, Moore joining Westwood on the PINE BENCH tomorrow.

Got to say the Golf Channel Production was TERRIBLE!!! Really Bad. Lots of important shots not shown. And some of the comical shots also not shown like Pieters (alleged) 60yd shot that went 160 yds.

First putt of any length that Rors made in two rounds, good for him.

Nice to see the Euros who haven't been playing much recently slowly warming up - only real exceptions are lw1 and Martin Kaymer.

Danny Willett made some birds and Rafa looked like he'd been playing this stuff for years. A good afternoon, all things considered.

But would say that DC needs to keep his cards close to his chest for Saturday's foursomes and hope the boys come to play.

Ah ha, The Saturday foursomes: Dangerous to split up Rose and Stenson don't you think? Would like to have seen Willett back out there, and Andy Sullivan has been very unlucky, paying as much for Rory's poor play as his own mistakes.. But it's now all about Just Win Baby.
Kaymer and Westwood have let DC down, so hopefully they can redeem themselves in the singles.

Pretty much Tiger free here too in the actual coverage. There were a few commercial promos of TW playing the Safeway in a few weeks though. TW's doing the right thing this week... staying mostly behind the scenes and not allowing the focus to be on him.

Agree, Lots more of TW on the foursomes coverage when they were talking about his intimidation factor to the Europeans, than in the afternoon when the Euros were actually winning.

Also thought the coverage we got was OK, though Johnny Miller can't help himself with a few Drumpfisms, extolling US virtues and knocking Europeans. Can't understand why NBC can't have a foot soldier following each of four matches, especially w/Maltbie apparently benched this afternoon. Feherty unusually subdued, not necessarily a bad thing.

Weird how well Reed and Spieth are playing in foursomes, brilliantly would be a better word, yet they were pretty poor in fourball. Hope DC keeps the Armada together - think I'd send straight back out, opening the batting.
