Re: Justin Rose out for 8 weeks
He looked knackered at Hazeltine, "low energy" as Drumpf might say, so not surprised.
Thanks for the update . . . .
Almost expect Henrik to do the same.

Dunno if he's doing too much gym work. His upper body has started to look quite muscular. On the other hand he's starting to grow a beer belly as well... It's probably equal bad influences from Tiger and Darren.

I wonder how the European Tour will deal with this; can't see that JR has played a single ET-only event this year.

Hasn't what happened to Rory set a precedent?

Maybe Inw, but Rosey's played even less than Rory did. He tends to back-end his Euro schedule. Remember, he sick-noted the BMW @ Wentworth as well.

This looks a bit like a gerrymandering of the Medical Exemption. End of the season, could do with a rest so blame it on a dodgy back.

European RC fans must be a little worried that any harsh line with Rose could see him go the way of Casey.

Not really Mac, Rose could take the whole of 2016/17 off and still get back into the ET and get enough points.

As Rose has done before.
Jason Day now on the injured list indefinitely - Day should post when he's fit, not when he's unfit. Don't doubt whatever is ailing him to do, but there's always something . . . . . . . wrote before that he needs to change his swing and how hard he goes at the ball. Never more true than now, otherwise he's going to end up like Woods, but with 13 fewer Majors.

I reckon these injuries are all a ruse so that Tiger has half a chance of making a cut.

We've got a sunday stableford if he needs a confidence boosting knock. Top 5 is feasible, if the other 12 have an off day...

Kwini
I follow a few swing coaches on youtube and they often use Day as an example of a really great modern golf swing. I have never heard it mentioned that he should change his swing and in fact it is often said he is a great swing to try and copy.
Where have you heard that he should change his swing?

Mac,
But that's like saying Tiger has a great swing, but even his body broke down by the time he turned thirty. Day swings so damn hard.
Faldo & Miller have both commented on it, but it's basically my own observation that no-one can put their body through that sort of trauma and expect to emerge unscathed. Quite apart from the fact that he seems a delicate lad.
