Danny garcia vs Samuel vargas

Does anyone care about garcia anymore?

He clearly doesnt care about legacy

Think vargas is rated 23rd by wbc and last year got stopped by Spence in 4 rounds

Probably the most over-rated champion and luckiest champion ive known in the ring since watching boxing.

Remember watching his 1st Morales fight thinking "this guy is poor".

Gets his head boxed off by Khan for 4 rounds........Peterson out pointed him handily.....Avoids the Matthysse rematch and has since after those fights fought nobody and never will again.

Nobody cares about him anymore - as soon as he fights a world ranked fighter he loses.

I've never even heard of Samuel Vargas

Why fight someone good when you can fight someone like Salka for big money?

A direct result of Haymon paying fighters over the odds for squash matches.

Gets his head boxed off by Khan for 4 rounds? Did he not floor Kahn in the 3rd and destroy him in the 4th?

Yeah think 2 rounds is more accurate and he wasn't getting annihilated or anything

He has a couple of good wins. Beat Lucas, when many were predicting he would lose badly.

Though he struggled badly with Peterson.

Been navigating his way around the dangermen since his win over Matthysse been very fortunate to be around in the Haymon era(Haymon squandering millions of other people's money) getting inflated purses for sub par matchups. Been under strong pressure from Haymon to face Thurman but needed this one to shake off some rust another fight with someone ranked outside the top fifteen for a good payday Haymon please fuc£ off soon. A favourite of Haymon too for some reason hence those two funny decisions

Hopefully Haymon does fuc£ off soon and then only the top fighters giving fans the real fights get to earn the big purses

Garcia comes unstuck the moment he fights a Thurman, Spence, Porter or Brook etc even Bradley for me, if the Thurman fight doesn't come off early next year then the Garcias are frauds in my eyes Danny had a great win over Lucas really should now be testing himself against the best win lose or draw and stop with this game you can't really blame Angel though(spotted Haymon's profligacy early fair play) it's the fault of Haymon ultimately look at how few good fights happened the last eighteen months two years in the welterweight division when with a nice pool of talent it could have been something of a minor golden period or at least a very good period

The Matthysse win was an excellent performance, the Khan win was a great win.... He's not the first to be made to look silly by Khan for a few rounds, but ultimately he got the job done.

He's basically a solid decent all round fighter, but not exceptional at anything... And he has been given some very friendly judging which flatters his record.

I don't know if he's over-rated as I'm not aware anyone particularly rates him... Certainly I'd be shocked if he were to beat brook, Thurman, spence. Think most would be too.

I don't think he beats them guys. Though I would pick him to smash Khan again.

He's becoming a bit of a poster boy for pi55ing away your career (along with the likes of Gray Russell Jr.).

Still, if he winds up healthy and rich as a result (and doesn't mind not being remembered) then fair play.

It would be such a mismatch - genuinely would be the equivalent of Brook vs Bizier/Dan or Garcia vs Salka.

To be fair Mayweather fought the likes of Hatton. So why not??

Also remember that Garcia turned down a career high pay day of 8 million for a fight with Pacquiao

He's a decent boxer Garcia you don't do a number on Matthysse without being a good fighter(and a little bit of help from mr brown envelopes tony weeks)

But the cherry picking is there for all to see suggests he lacks confidence in his own ability or if it's Angel doing the picking then Angel maybe deep down doesn't rate Danny as much as he makes out

I think Matthyse ruined him a bit as a fighter. After that fight I think he and his father lost their stomach for the sport somewhat and kinda thought right lets never do that again. Happy to make safe money and fly under the radar.

His speed kills and his angles and footwork are top notch
