The Donald Trump Incredulity Thread
First topic message reminder :
I know that this doesn't relate to rugby, but feel free to say what you want about the 45th (and presumably final) president of the United States.
A man John Oliver once described as "a large clown made of dessicated foreskin and cotton candy".

The funniest thing about this is that even if it is fact that he is a racist, bigoted raping fraudster, no one gives a feck.
It apparently makes him more appealing to Mr (and Mrs ) Average American no college degree. It seems the women of the USA want to be grabbed by their pet cat.
If Trump can rise from the turd pile then so can anyone and they love that. The leftist media got it wrong because they aren't representative of the average white American.
IMO politics in the UK lead the way when 'HM Government Ltd' was bait and switched by Tony I'm a Socialist Blair in 97. Now its taken the final step in the world's most powerful country by replacing a career politician with a bad celebrity. Gulp.
This is the western hemisphere's version of the Arab Spring. Brexit was a warning but the USA WANTED this and Brexit paved the way.
Winter is here. The king is dead, long live the king.

Re: The Donald Trump Incredulity Thread
On the ME, can things get worse? The Iranian/saudi proxy war becoming a full on war? Yeah it can get a lot worse. Libya was a disaster and I have no love for Clinton. But Trump is not even an ordinary republican.
THis is not Romney winning. This is not even Cruz winning. Both of those would be annoying to me but an annoyance of the, 'it may take awhile longer for my views to be represented'. Trump is not that.
This is someone who cannot resist getting into a 3am tweet Poopie over a miss universe candidate from a decade earlier. 2 weeks before an election. It's someone who no matter when it's in his own best interest to stop talking about it, gives Putin constant praise.
Obama has had his share of f;uck ups but he has the temperament to not needlessly escalate minor issues (don't do stupid things. He said that after Libya. He has broadly kept to that since then). I believe Romney or Clinton or Cruz and even Bush had a tempermant enough to slow things down (the drum beat of the Iraq invasion took 6 months...)
Trump is the opposite. He could say anything and commit america to crazy things in a split second. Already the Baltic countries are seeking commitments from other European NATO members for protection from Russia if trump starts a move to pull out of NATO (something he has literally said he would do). If trump turns out to be an ordinary right wing president then fine. We disagree but things will tick along. The frightening thing is he has shown all signs that he isn't that. That he will start wars, hot wars, trade wars. Insult world leaders. Take health care away from 21M people. Apoint justices that outlaw abortion. And if he keeps to his word on immigration/wall etc there will be families torn apart across the americas. That's the fear. His instability, not his rightwingesness.

It's not that simple. Netanyahu's Likud Party doesn't dictate what happens in the region, and the Knesset isn't entirely free to act as it pleases either. No one country, and certainly no democracy is.
A one state solution isn't workable, and a two state solution can only work on Israel's terms. Neither the Fatah or Hamas want a solution because it destroys their cash cow.

Because if you dislike a woman you must be sexist, or dislike a black person be racist? Nothing to do with what they are as people, or their policies? By that logic if you hate Trump then you are also racist (hate whites) and a misandrist, or does it not work that way around? Your views that steeped in identity politics is what is backwards.

I think the thinking is that the US with Trump at the head is less likely to wag a finger at Israel when they annex even more Palestinian land. It seems Trump (or his advisors at least support the Israeli's moving the capital from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem).

I don't particularly like Teresa May (or Hillary Clinton for that matter), but that does not give me the right to disrespect them. He objectifies women. Calling Mexicans criminals and drug dealers is just inciteing the clueless to hate.

You could say that about a few past Presidents, but it didn't happen. The issue of Jerusalem is much bigger than any President, and any President is terrified of upsetting the status quo. Remember also, it wasn't the international community (US/UK/France) that gave control of the Temple Mount to the Jordanians, and it wasn't the Arabs who forced control of the Temple Mount to the Jordanians. It was the Jews of a newly formed Israel who gave them this control, and it was Moshe Dayan that told the Chief Rabbi that he would have him arrested if he persisted in asking for control. And this was when they themselves had full control of Jerusalem, and had every right to claim it as their own.

My girlfriend is US born to ecuadorian parents (who are both legal residents). She is with me here in mexico right now (you can imagine how mexicans are reacting). In 2 years together this morning is the second time I saw her cry. In her words, all the Poopie everyone went through to get to where they were, to feel like if you work hard you can get ahead in america no matter your skin colour. Well she feels a big dent has been put in that. Its hard to say she is wrong if you go off what Trump has said and the interviews of trump supporters who love how he is "taking the country back". Taking it back from?
A reaction to PC? What does that even mean? Some poor lambs can;t use the N word anymore. or spank the arse of their secretary and instead of manning up that we all have rights, they go and vote in someone who has stated policies which put millions of LEGAL americans at risk of having their lives torn apart? How... courageous of those standing up to PC. Children.
I read somewhere else this morning that (translating it into rugby terms), if you are a white man in america all you see is that blacks and latinos have scored 5 straight tries in your lifetime. And that seems Poopie. They get everything! But its harder to see that you were winning 64-0 in the first half. That is what we are seeing. That combined with an american system where it is not 1 vote each for president. Where the electoral college means that a person residing in a city has a 0.999999 vote. And someone in rural areas gets 1.0000001 of a vote. That's the margin. Clinton had more total votes and loses the election. Anyways, will stick to rugby on here from now on, but had to throw that out there.
PC culture was responsible for 1400 girls being raped for years in Rotherham. The police knew about it but didn't make arrests as it could have disturbed "social cohesion", and they might be called racist. Neighbours of the San Bernadino shooters were afraid to report them to the police when they started acting dodgy because they didn't want to be seen as potentially racist. That is what ppl rallying against. The N word is just a word, a mean one but shouldn't be illegal to say. Sexual assault is already a crime.
So you are saying, because you suffered injustices in the past, now that you are on top you can start dishing it out? What happens when the roles are reversed again? Do you go back to playing the victim?
The America you described (work hard regardless of skin colour) thanks to lefties and the establishment with diversity quotas is slipping away, that is why ppl voted for trump. Just to make it clear, quotas are unequal, there are no exceptions, none.

Not familiar with how German election works, but with 2 rounds in France there is no way a far right / Populist candidate would get through if that's what you are thinking of.people show their discontent at the 1st round but go for the establishment candidate at the second round. Extremists need to work a bit more on their marketing tools to make their parties look more mainstream so way a bit too early for that.
The beauty of the American system is that some kind of random lunatic who never had any Political mandate managed to hijack a whole party ! (And there is only two). This is probably what appealed to American people who a aint got much to lose and went on rejecting the existing establishment. In practice Trump will probably seek the standard republican policies such as less taxes and less welfare etc
That is true, but I can see a massive ground swell support for LePen, if there is another major terrorist attack that could be the push to even take them to win round 2. Also, the EU are very unpopular France are they not? Are there any other parties that are anti-EU?

The problem with Trump is we don't have a clue what he could do.
As far as I know, it was some Jewish religious legal council that ruled that the Moslems have control of Temple Mount. Moshe Dayan was just respecting that ruling.

Support for the EU in Europe as increased since Brexit. Approval ratings of the EU in France is 67% (risen 10% since Brexit). 71% of French support the Euro.

We don't know what he will do in the ME. You're wrong about the history, although it is true that the succession of Chief Rabbi have stipulated that Jews shouldn't set foot on the Temple Mount, not for any political reasons, or for reasons of ownership, but on purely religious grounds. However, the Chief Rabbi does not represent all religious views of Jews.

I guess Trump can't stop people following him but for his sake and the sake of the USA I hope he distances himself from them (and from BLM and whoever else is intent on causing division).

You have contradicted yourself again. His actions to one woman (Hilary) does not mean that is how he treats all women. That is my point, but you have decided to read Trump's mind and have found that it isn't because Hilary is his political opponent and the things she has or may have done he want after, but that she is a woman.
Again, you are reading minds. Certain segments of society hate hilary cos she is a woman, no other reason?
Regarding the tape, give me strength, straight man talks about having or desiring sex with a woman. Shock!! Beats chest to assert dominance among other males. Human biology in action, scandal! Also, he did not describe sexual assault as he confirmed that it was consensual (they let you do it). It was crude, fair enough. But I'm going to let you in on a secret, ppl like sex. And talking about sex. Even politicians.
If you are right about him, and he is conning the electorate, then fair play. You saw it, I don't. And I agree regarding climate change, I think the right in general have got that wrong.

In Rotherham the problem was identifying them as British-Pakastanis rather than just British men. If they were English, they would not have been identified as English-British.
And why the heck do you need to use the 'N' word. Whats the problem with identifying people as Black.

No the rise the trump, brexit etc is a backlash against the unholy alliance of the authoritarian regressive left and the establishment. It's ppl wanting to defend western values and are tired of being called a racist for doing so.
The KKK, who have like 5000 members and are politically irrelevant? An endorsement that he simply ignored?
If we are slinging mud then what about the democrats supporting BLM? Who incite riots, attack ppl cos they are white, shoot cops and open call for them to be killed? Who use bogus stats to fuel their divisive narrative that every is the whiteman fault?
What about hilary calling KKK member Robert Bryd a mentor?

Its not just one woman though. His first wife claimed he raped her (court divorce documents), he made comments that he would date his daughter (thats not normal for a father towards his own daughter), he humiliated Miss Universe. That is just disgusting behaviour.

I read somewhere else this morning that (translating it into rugby terms), if you are a white man in america all you see is that blacks and latinos have scored 5 straight tries in your lifetime. I'm not going to comment on your personal situation, I don't know enough about it to.
In Rotherham the problem was identifying them as British-Pakastanis rather than just British men. If they were English, they would not have been identified as English-British.
And why the heck do you need to use the 'N' word. Whats the problem with identifying people as Black.
But they were British-Pakastanis or indeed just Pakastani, I don't know if they were necessarily born in the UK. Also what is wrong in saying that if it is true. The media actually said British-Asian, so included hindus, sihks, etc. In Bristol, the diddler gang were of Somalian origin. The common link of all the these gangs were that they were muslim, not their ethnicity or place of birth. The problem with PC is that you can't say that, even if it's true.
If the diddler gang was white, I can assure you they would have been caught 15 years ago! That is the issue.
Regarding the N word, yes you don't need to say it, but it's a word. Banning words is a slippery slope.

Yep, just as the Guardian says - outsiders wanting to be on the inside.
Doesn't matter how many members the KKK have - they are a racist, homophobic organisation who approve of Trump. You seem to identify strongly with them as well.
As for Robert Bryd - he was a member of the KKK (about 60 years ago) - but changed. That is to be admired.

Re: The Donald Trump Incredulity Thread
Why use 'the N word'? This self censorship - that is no censorship at all - is laughable.
The N word - absolute bullschidt perceived and misguided respect. Trying to explain what the word is without saying it. Comical. Human beings at their lowest.
You might as well from here on only refer to Hitler as 'the H word' - given how much his name offends certain Jews. 'The N word' could double up to represent the Nazis, given that a mention of that word now in political discussions is frowned upon by the righteously offended brigade.
History is history and these things happened and they had names to describe them and not mentioning the name that described these periods is out and out dangerous censorship. 'Let's forget that bit of history and the words used - by law and/or by bullying.'
The I word for Indians?
The P word for Paddies?

Re: The Donald Trump Incredulity Thread
Trump's win and brexit are very similar.
Neither won because the majority of the country voted for them, yet they both claim to be what the people want.
Both claimed to be a punch in the face to the elite (give me f**Kung strength both trump and brexit couldn't be more part of the elite and establishment)
Both lied and lied and lied until people believe them.
And most importantly, and you can disagree if you want, but you will be wrong, they won because of racists. Not every one who voted for them is a racist, but it was the racist vote that got them over the line. And they were supported in this racist task by all the press being run by old moneyed racist bigots,
Feel free to say I'm wrong. But be honest and actually read and listen to what they said and are still saying.
It's a f**king embarrassment.

Well if you think calling black people by the 'N' word is ok, those poor unfortunates in Rotherham were abused and used was because the perpetrators were muslim - I'm sure there are many who would regard you as a racist bigot. I've not heard you say anything about gay people, so I've no idea if you are a homophobe.

I don't use the word. But I disagree with sending someone to jail for words. I would rather someone expressed racist views and then be discredited using logic and facts and perhaps changing their mind, then for them to hold their tongue and let their views fester.
Ah the strawman logical fallacy, I never said ALL muslims. Please try harder.
Well you know what also incites hate. One group of ppl raping and abusing girls because they are of another group, and then the abusers getting special treatment because they are of a certain group. Most ppl can differentiate between individuals and an entire collective. Perhaps you are projecting your bias onto other ppl?
Anyway, it's views like yours that has held to the rise of Trump, and it isn't going away. If you don't like it, you only have yourself to blame.

Trump got the 'Stupid, Racist, Misogynist, Bigoted, Working Class White man' vote, and don't let anyone tell you different.

Re: The Donald Trump Incredulity Thread
Theres a mighty backlash coming for the left. Brexit was the first hint, Trump the start and Europe to follow. Political correctness has suppressed free speech for decades but the people are fighting back. The Frankfurt school, Fabians, Marxists etc have their biggest challenge yet, the internet. It is destroying their media propaganda machine. Hillary Clinton was going to try and control it more but I get the impression Donald Trump is a fan of free speech, unlike the self proclaimed "tolerant" left.

But can you come up with a better system? It doesnt matter what colour your skin is, each mans vote carries the same weight as the next man.
And just on this similarity with Brexit thing, Brexit was a two horse race of Yes or No, However in the US Presidential elections, one can also vote for the other standing Independents, and after a while statisticly the majority no longer remains an accurate factor. Call you wrong? Why would anyone do that?

??? Brexit is deemed the Great Satan amongst the luvvies of the Press and the 'political commentator' frownees. The Press publish the Polls, the Polls are run by Press-pals to give the Press their boxing match readers "Oh it's close now with 7 months to go. Oh she's pulling away now with 2 months to go. Oh he's pulling her back in now with 3 days to go"
Oh the drama..... oh the money!
Oh Dear..... the Press wanted Trump and Brexit to win? You told me I could say it: You're wrong.

No fly. I said the press were happy to repeat the racist rhetoric to make it seem normal. And if you like to make yourself feel utterly sick pick up any copy of the daily mail in the last year and tell me they didn't support brexit

Wasn't old Combover regarded as the Devil for presuming not to endorse Hillary as President if she got over the line quicker than he did? Wasn't it all the talk the few days before that this sets him out above all other things he said as the most evil minded of men and a dinosaur of the past that he won't respect the process he signed up to.
Then the demonstrations by the young, good looking Frantic sect that very night ....

The mainstream media very definitely supported the establishment. The Mail, The Express, etc, aren't worth the paper they are written on. Mind you, the mainstream Media hasn't much value as far as objective journalism goes.
I really, really, don't like Trump. I'm disappointed he is to be the next President, but he got there in spite of an extremely negative press campaign against him.

The 'N' word is a derogatory word. Why use it when you know it causes offence? Why not respect black people and refer to them by the way they want to be referred to.
The reason why it is wrong to refer to them by their ethnic origins is because it incites (rather thick) people to hate.
I believe Jimmy Saville was a Christian. Does that mean all Christians are paedeophiles?
You would like to use the word though. Explain to me then, why would you want to call someone something they find disrespectful and offensive? People will not end up in court/jail for calling someone a the 'N' word. They might end up in court/jail though for being racist or inciding people to hate.
Most people don't differentiate between individuals and an entire collective. And D Trump getting elected doesn't make racism, sexism or homophobia right.

Oh, forgot that bit. I will remember it's "' Stupid, Uneducated, Racist, Misogynist, Bigoted, Working Class White man, vote," for future reference. I should probably add flesh eating, human sacrificing, sociopaths, but will wait until the press make it up
