If it's decided I didn't then fair enough but it's a bit dickish imho.

The rules are the same every year as they've always if you don't confirm him he isn't yours.

Rules have always been clear. Confirm in 48 hours otherwise he's available for others to sign. He's yours to confirm if you want. He'll just cost you £6m now.

Otherwise it's a bit pointless have a transfer confirmation page

It was an oversight.
I don't even know why two pages are needed, why not just have one?

And it doesn't state anywhere that it has to be done within 48 hours on the rules page.

Re: The Lotion League Locker Room
48 hours is just what we have always done. But accepted that it doesn't say that in the rules page.
Which implies either that you have to accept at the time of the transfer, or you can confirm now, but I would expect him to cost his TM value at the time of confirmation

I would argue the case that the bid was accepted at the time for £0.

Re: The Lotion League Locker Room
To be fair, we probably don't need the confirmation page, its something i wanted to include. Clearly it was a mistake that i didnt put it into the rules but i didnt think we needed it as its always been a thing since i've been in here.
We're not changing it this season though, we can talk about it at the end if people really want to change it.

I'd also say that if we're suddenly being sticklers for rules then there's loads in foreign transfers that don't follow the correct format required, shall all of those now be reversed?

Re: The Lotion League Locker Room
Your logic is awful.
What's to stop me going and putting someone like Alderweireld/Mane/Lukaku down as a TP then confirming it a few days after TM finally puts their prices up at their price when i put it down as a TP.

Because it was clearly just an oversight, I put him on foreigns and I added him at the time to my squad which can be seen on my page with timings.
Isn't this league meant to be fun or are we going down the root of being dicks about things?

It's your mistake. No one elses.
If we're giving out £6m players for free then im out.
It should be a fair playing field for all not just you because you overlooked doing something everyone else does without fail.

Re: The Lotion League Locker Room
He wasn't a 6m player when I bought him. He was a 0m one.
Other people have at times made errors and as a league we've always had a relaxed rule of it was a genuine mistake then fair enough, so it's certainly not a level playing field to then clamp down on this.
And if you want to play the 'I quit' card then I'll do the same because this is meant to be fun.

The purpose of a transfer confirmation page is to have all the transfers in one place as a reference. I use it to check no one has signed someone already

I gotta go with Nando etc, you've always had to confirm them.
Don't know where the 48 hour thing came from, but there has to be a time limit for actually confirming the thing and 2 days seems plenty of time.

I don't think we are being dicks. There have been times in the past where we have held up people to the rules, like when Nadeem wanted to reverse CFs awful releases.

Fine, but from this point on I'll be as much of a dick about it so makes sure every single rule is bang on.

Its not really being a dick to be honest. If someone else had signed him you wouldn't have been able to complain. You've always had to confirm, I don't really see the issue.

I tried to enforce rules at the start, then people kept saying its not on the rules page even if we have done it for years so i stopped asking about it as much, I dont mean this example either.

So we're enforcing a rule that doesn't actually exist nor never has.Afro wrote:GSC wrote:I gotta go with Nando etc, you've always had to confirm them.

I always gave myself a common sense out.
So I couldn't just make a TP bid for Messi week 1 and never confirm it so no one else could sign him.

Re: The Lotion League Locker Room
Yeah but you still have to confirm him like we've always had to do. If someone else had signed him a couple of days later would you be complaining?
I think we can all accept it was an honest mistake but at the same time you've not being forced to buy him at his new price, or fined etc. The consequence if you have to re bid and his price has gone up on TM in the interim. Sucks, but **** happens.

Also I'd say the timing with his TM increase is bad luck, but you were buying him to make a quick buck with his irl move anyway

Re: The Lotion League Locker Room
I honestly can't remember if I put TP bids have to be confirmed in my original rules page, but I def added a runners discretion clause. I would put it in writing that there is a x amount of time to confirm before they go back into the TP pool.

Not enforcing anything 48hours. Saying you have to confirm him and that is the point you sign him.
His price, according to TM at the point of signing is £5.95m
But we should set a time limit for confirmation before they become fair game.

Just think of the team I could have bought if I still had the players cf released It's a travesty what he did to my team and I hope we never ever let him into these leagues ever again.

Re: The Lotion League Locker Room
Morning all,
Hero - Nando and I were just winding you up about Neres yesterday I do think we should set a time limit for confirming however,
However, I have spotted one thing worth discussing as it has a significant impact. The rule on over-squad limits is (and has been on the3 rules page from the start)
"If over squad limit, players signed over the limit are not eligible until there is a squad space for them. First in basis with the players who you have had longer being in the squad first."
I think this means that Aubameyang and Neres shouldn't be in your squad and are not eligible to play, as they were the last two into your squad and after Tymon and Arnold

I completely agree with you Afro. As Aubemayang has played in a game, this means that Hero has not fielded an eligible team. I would suggest that because of this, there is no alternative but to issue a default 3-0 loss.

Sorry I read it as I could just have others in reserve that didn't affect anything. I'll release those two then for zilch.

Re: The Lotion League Locker Room
I'm trying to not make this sound like I have a vendetta against Hero, as I haven't, just trying to be fair. But there are no midseason releases sorry. It is between seasons only.
"Releases only between seasons and at 50% value"
You need to lawyer them or sell them domestically. First one sold Aubameyang is eligible and second one then Neres is eligible (assuming you don't sell Aubameyang and Neres)

That's fine as I didn't use the lawyers this week for whoever it was (Antonucci?) so I can do that and do the -5% one for Arnold and team fine.

I don't think we even discussed it. For me its either 0 or you get a different lawyer. Putting a nominal value on their head doesn't feel right

Congratulations on a job well done Afro
Knew if kept mentioning it he'd go for it eventually
On that note think you should get 24 hours from your TP though in future.
