Degale vs Jack.. Who've you got ?
First big fight of 2017 and it includes a Brit, can't see much activity on here regards this one apologies if I've missed it. Its an intriguing battle as both seem to blow a little hot and cold in recent performances. I will add I haven't see a great deal from Jack bar his title fights and I was quietly impressed with him against Groves but less so against Bute.
Degale we all know about him, flashes of brilliance but has the tendency to switch off and get nailed a little bit too much for my liking and seems too fond of the ropes. I think it'll be a nip and tuck affair but Degale's better pedigree and probably more consistency should see him home either via late stoppage or unanimous decision. Hoping its a good one.

I didn't sit down and watch Jack's fight with Groves in fact never seen any of his fights so don't really know how good he is but I'm guessing from the little I have seen of him that DeGale should just have the edge on him but hoping for a good close intriguing battle and who knows maybe I've underestimated Jack?

I think if Degale can fight for longer than 30 seconds per round he can win
He needs good conditioning, because Jack will keep coming
Skill wize I think Jack is too basic for Degale, but if Degale gasses he is in big trouble

DeGale will outchunk Jack to win by a late TKO

Can't see a stoppage.
DeGale could enough to win, think it'll come down to how the US judges score him when he takes his time off and lazes on the ropes soaking up a bit of punishment. Might lose him rounds he was otherwise winning.

Degale closish points is the percentage call I reckon.
Though he says he's been using a conditioning coach because he's struggled with stamina in previous fights. Took him a while to notice, but then he's not the smartest tool. Just a tool.
Seriously, how would a top level professional boxer in this day and age not have a specialist fitness trainer? Are most of them still being sent to do 10 mins on the heavybag (or punching frozen pigs) and 5 mins being spanked with a medicine ball by their trainers on a diet of pork pies, Guinness and benson and hedges?
Could this make a difference to mr 30 seconds a round man? Do we expect to see the all new 'conditioned' chunky, look like a road-raged popeye and batter jack around the ring?
Tune in to find out.

He does look in far better nick than usual so hopefully his stamina improves too, he's too skilful for Jack but it boils down to how much he puts into it, if he slacks off he'll see an early lead evaporate as it does too often.

In fairness his trainer is a idiot tool talentless yes-man. So probably wouldn't have the braincells to suggest a strength & conditioning coach.

DeGale should prove too talented. Cosmetically, he looks in better shape than usual which will hopefully stop him hitting quicksand in the middle rounds.
DeGale by wide decision. He could make Jack look positively pedestrian.

Re: Degale vs Jack.. Who've you got ?
I think Jack is tailor made for DeGale. Chunky wins at a canter here, outclasses Jack with his speed and awkwardness, probably dropping him and possibly stopping him in about 8. I will be very surprised if Jack takes this unless Chunky loses focus or gets an injury. I think the extra conditioning will help an awful lot and it will show in the way DeGale fights - this time not for 30 seconds a round.
It's all heading to a big unification with Groves a year down the line.

Edging towards Jack by SD. DeGale is a great fighter but he's lazy. Jack also looks massive at the weight.

Re: Degale vs Jack.. Who've you got ?
DeGale looked very...non-chunky at the weigh in. Reminded me a bit of Calzaghe a bit. More like a marathon runner than a boxer. Good condition though and I expect him to box his way to either a late TKO or wide points win but I will stick with my previous prediction of DeGale chunking his way to an 8th or 9th round stoppage

Degale looked really good on the scales
Hopefully he fights for the full round and he should deal with Jack in style

Anybody think the IBF check weight ruling will have any impact on Badou Jack's performance as already mentioned he looks huge at the weight but won't be able to rehydrate as much as usual.

I'm with you on this one. I think we'll see the best Degale we've ever seen. Let's face it,when he is not coasting he can look terrific. He's got great combinations, good movement and fast hands. I think he'll put it all together and win pretty clearly.

Degale should win, however, the fight is taking place in Vegas, hometown of TMT. It would not surprise me one bit if the judges screw Degale.

Re: Degale vs Jack.. Who've you got ?
Degale should win if he performs at his best, maybe even handily. But he is an inconsistent performer. Jack is the opposite. Not hugely talented but very consistent and makes his opponents work to beat him. That makes it intersting given how Degale can drift in and out fights. But I think given whats at stake that Degale should be on his game and 8/11 for a points win seems like a decent shout.

Chunky and TMT seem to have a little love affair going on I honestly don't think he'll get screwed on the contrary

Re: Degale vs Jack.. Who've you got ?
I got chunky to win by KO/TKO at 4 to 1
Put a sneaky bet on a draw as well which I often do. That was 20 to 1
I dunno why...I never flippin win
