Who should start at 10 against the Scottish for Wales?

For me, it depends on how Sam Davies plays for the Ospreys tomorrow night against Munster.

Isn't there already a thread on the Wales 23?

Is Rob Howley tuning in to the poll?international198 wrote:IanBru wrote:Isn't there already a thread on the Wales 23?

He is, however he also knows that this will be hijacked for nefarious purposes.

It will still have to be debated in the Welsh assembly regardless of the outcome of the poll

Surely the most important thing is whether Max Boyce can incorporate the name into a song.
It has to 'scan' right. It's why Priestland dropped off the radar.

Biggar has to start.
If Wales had XV like him on the field vs England they would have won.

Not so sure. Would have given away no end of scrum penalties.TightHEAD wrote:Biggar has to start.

Biggar is a master of the dark arts.

Flexible too, if he can lift himself in the lineout.

So how come Owen Williams has so many votes. I'm not doubting his ability, but to give him his 1st cap STARTING against Scotland, when he hasn't featured at all in the 6 Nations is a big ask.
Somehow, I think this poll has been corrupted by non Welsh voters..
Lets face it. Dan is the incumbent of the jersey and hasn't done anything to say he loses it .... Sam is the new boy on the block, and will (if he continues to play as he does) be the next player to look after the fabled No 10 shirt. As for Owen, a good player, who was overlooked and not likely to get his chance now, with Anscombe fit again. He's not the first and wont be the last player to be overlooked. He may be lucky and get a touring cap this summer, that is if Dan gets a Lions call up and Sam gets a "wild-card" Lions place, but I doubt that Sam will... (not this time).

Why isn't 'Cuthby' an option?

The chances of Sam Davies being picked at 10 absent Biggar being injured are as likely as Plaid Cymru becoming the UK Government. The chances of Owen W being picked at 12/13 to provide better accuracy and variation of passing than JD2 is as likely as Leanne Wood becoming UK PM.So no chance on either count.Even if Howley and his coaching team even understood the difference between form and reputation the statistic that over the last 40 visits of the Welsh team to the 5m zone of their oppositions they have scored no tries seems to suggest they have no understanding of how to convert pressure into points.

I'd go for Biggar just because he was bl**dy good last week so don't think he deserves to lose his jersey, especially as this is a big game against a very good Scottish side. He's not out of form so why drop him?

Maybe, maybe not. Probably just a reaction to the silliness of the poll - after all biggar was outstanding last week. In a match against decent opposition the control he brings is needed. He may be unlikely to break down a really good team like NZ, or inspire a rout, but in your typical 6Ns dogfight he is excellent.
To put Owen Williams on the list is crazy. He is a decent mid-table club player, he is not the man to ignite a welsh back-line from 10 or 12.
