Re: The Lotion League Locker Room
I have an idea about fixtures and voting that would mean 3 fixtures per week, rather than 2, but retaining the 3 person vote.
I need to give the specifics a bit more thought, but we could apply it in season 2. it would mean the season is cut from 21 weeks to 14, and the number of weeks where you don't have a game is reduced to only 2, rather than the current 9.
It would mean that some (potentially every week as I haven't worked it out fully)) weeks, managers could be having to do tactics and voting on 1 game.
And the week, you don't play you would collect and post tactics/votes as per this season, plus vote on all 3 games

After this week's games, I stick a season 2 ideas/improvements page up so we can start working out how to freshen it up

I'm not a fan of doing tactics and voting every week.

Some big dice rolls there for the title with Cavani to Burnley and Hazard to Hull.

Re: The Lotion League Locker Room
You would only have to vote on 1 game in weeks where you play, and I know some thought there were too many weeks where you didn't play in season 1.
But that is fair enough. Lets gauge wider opinion next week

Id prefer to keep as is as it's quite nice having some time off
Interesting move by Afro going for a big guy vs Hero's dinky defense (apart from Rugani). So be fun that.

It did tempt me to do the deal for Rugani, just to remove the tallest CB from his options Its also the a main reason why I was gutted that Sule was out.

if only they were as good as Rugani though. my advice would be get a better cb to be brutally honest i like youth players but CB's need to be good ones really.

I like Vallejo, although I am surprised that Hero hasn't signed the bigger Spanish hope at CB....

That remains to be seen. He will be back there, but he's not going to walk into the side just because Pepe has gone.
Ramos is a cert, so Vallejo would have to get in ahead of Varane, Nacho and Diego Llorente. And that is assuming they don't sign anyone else.
As I said, I like Vallejo, but I actually prefer Jorge Mere over him.

Good signing. I was lining him up to replace Neves if you had insisted on your initial offer

Seems your wumming had an impact. Hero went straight out and bought a tall CB at the expense of half his backup players Now we wait and see whether it was a bluff or not.
Or do I kick his stars to pieces safe in the knowledge that the replacements are no where near the same standard....

Okay, here's a question.
Is there a way to make the euro qualifiers fun? Written this article - with my dream idea. Probably a bit of an outrageous idea but interested to hear what you think

Re: The Lotion League Locker Room
I'd like a 3 hour build like in the old days before the cup final.
I'd like Hero and I to lead our teams out wearing suits and to sing Abide with Me before the match.
And then I'd like a superbowl style half time show featuring Diana Ross taking a penalty and missing by a mile, but the goal still collapses anyway.
And then photos of Hero through the years, from school boy to present day flashed up on the big screen, to celebrate his contribution to pretend football and development of youth.

Seriously though, not that bothered by live text or anything like that. Happy just to do it as a normal week.
Unless others want it, in which case, happy for you to do it.

What about a boxing style press release where you trash talk each other with me moderating it?
I'll do my best to get Diana Ross on as well.

I like that.
We can shout about how we are going to pulvarise the other one, but when it comes to us being face to face we back off because realistically we are both too scared to actually be in a fight!
And Hero could dress up like Batman a la Tyson Fury

Re: The Lotion League Locker Room
I'm sure afro's been reading up on his Sun Tzu for pointers against Hero
"If your enemy is secure at all points, be prepared for him. If he is in superior strength, evade him. If your opponent is temperamental, seek to irritate him. Pretend to be weak, that he may grow arrogant. If he is taking his ease, give him no rest. If his forces are united, separate them. If sovereign and subject are in accord, put division between them. Attack him where he is unprepared, appear where you are not expected .”
― Sun Tzu, The Art of War

Morning all.
Do we want lawyers today?
I suggest we close the window for all transfers and then after results, make a decision on season 2.
We can then go from there on when transfers reopen.
