Edinburgh had all the possession but 20 minutes in haven't scored.
Turner not doing himself any favours - he's trying too hard and making poor decisions.

Edinburgh - 6 or 7 attacks in the 22, no tries.
Dragons - 1 attack, 1 try.

'Hands away Edinburgh, you're off your feet'
Hoyland keeps competing for the ball. Penalty conceded. He then complains to the ref. The intelligence of this Edinburgh team is incredible

Seeing as Hamish Watson was the king at 7, doesn't this mean that Dragons backrow are the next in line for Lions places, as all three are the best 7s on the pitch?

Well we know Gatland likes to make his selections off the back of a single game, so yes, you're probably right

Did well-to-do get back but shouldn't have forced it after the last kick off - we had time to build a score.

Well.........
1. Why didn't they have the Glasgow game on the tele? Would have been a much better game
2. Why do Edinburgh play so inconsistently
3. Glen Bryce as man of the match?

How did The Drag Queens lose that game?
Meanwhile in Dublin it's 31-30 Leinster with 2 mins to go and the floodlights have just failed!

I was a bit puzzled by that one as well, Scott Hastings was giving to the Drags SH just before the end.
Toolis played his usual game and would have been a decent choice and Turner made a decent impression on his debut start. Not many stand up contenders though!

Somewhat farcical ending at the RDS with a 10 minutes delay for the floodlight failure.
It ends 31-30 Leinster.

Game plays on with the lights back, Leinster turnover and there was almost farce when McGrath's attempted clearance kick didn't go very far!

Surprise, surprise Dragons. F***ing shower. I wouldn't be confident of a Dragons win if it was 5 mins to go and 7 tries up. Absolute f*ck bags. Dragons much sh*tter than Edinburgh, a team that their own fans acknowledge are a fair bit turdy themselves this season. I want to cry. Should have just given you the points and saved the travel costs north

Really good article by Mark Palmer in the Sunday Times, he does seem to be the journo with the fast track to info at the moment. There is going to be some more comings and goings on the coaching front for both professional sides next year.
He suggests that Mike Blair and Gavin Vaughan, the analyst, will go with Toonie into the Scotland job. That would make sense as there will be to many coaches at Scotstoun next year otherwise.
He also suggests that Mark McCall, who has generally been seen to have done a decent job with the sevens squad will be coming to Edinburgh as a skills coach and boy do they need it!
Cockers does apparently have a free hand to pick his own backroom staff, so expect some more changes on that front. John Dalziel, much admired as a coach of the future, is getting the U20s again this summer and will take them to Georgia for the Junior World Cup.
Next season apparently there is going to be a pool of SRU coaches, to try and give the younger up and coming ones, such as Cairns, Forrester and Grant the experiences they need to progress. They will be placed in age grade squads and the sevens as required. It was not clear if they would still be doing club coaching or not. This is another Scott Johnson initiative, trying to grow our own coaches as well as our own players. On the face of it, it does not seem a bad idea.
On the player movement front, he also suggested that Peter Murchie may well be heading out of Glasgow as well. As Hoggy is likely to play next Saturday, he may already have played his last game. I am sure we will hear some more about further departures this week.

Positive signs there Biggee.
There's absolutely no justification in keeping Hodge, Scott and especially the defence coach on at Edinburgh - hopefully some of these people you mention get a chance.
I wonder where Sean lineen will go?

Re: Glasgow and Edinburgh: Ongoing Banter Thread 16 - Good Luck, We're All Counting On You
I remember when Mike Coman was announced as joining us last spring, I was a bit underwhelmed, particularly when I read the reviews that some on here had of him. However, he has played solely as a blindside for us (rather than in the 8 role where it sounded like he struggled a bit) and I have to say he has been absolutely outstanding. Every tackle he makes stops the opposition on the gain-line (at the very least) and he makes a nuisance of himself at the breakdown. He doesn't do much carrying for us, but when he does it is solid enough. Not on here to gloat, just thought by way of an update you would be pleased to hear he is doing very well for us and I expect will play a big part for us next season if we get promoted.

Re: Glasgow and Edinburgh: Ongoing Banter Thread 16 - Good Luck, We're All Counting On You
Coman was a decent squad player that was solid without really standing out in any facet of play. Part of the reason he was slightly mocked (especially by Glasgow fans) was his nickname on here - Mike 'leadership' Coman. Basically despite continual average performances he was never dropped by Solomons who kept saying his leadership was very important.
In short - doing a Kellock.
Good to hear he's doing well but it is the championship where everyone is smaller and less physical - it will be interesting to see if he can back it up with the likes of Vunipola, Hughes and Picamoles running at him!
Saying that, given the shambles Edinburgh are just now we could probably do a bit of 'leadership'.
