What are you playing at the moment?
First topic message reminder :
Nice new thread to start!
I'm on Mass Effect Andromeda for the time being. Think the negative press is way overblown, I'm really enjoying it so far.

i started this but hit a glitch that wont let me carry on past the first assault. read that i can either wait for a patch or start again. cant be arsed starting again as even though i hadnt progressed far in the story i have leveled my character up by doing all the boring bits like finding all the artifacts etc

Yeah it's bit of a grind at times finding the artefacts and memories etc but you should give it another go as the story is pretty good if you are a LotR fan

Bloodborne is one of the free games this month on psn. Doesn't come with the DLC but not a bad offering from Sony.

Cant recommend Ratchet and Clank highly enough. Been a fan of the series since the first game. Got Bloodborne downloading just now.

Skyrim on the Switch and it looks stunning on the small screen.
Tried it on the PS4 last year and couldn't get into it but this version has me hooked and it's smooth as hell.

Far Cry Primal. Having recently p*ssed off the missus by buying a PS4 I'd been struggling to find anything to get stuck into until this. Haven't played an open world game apart from a couple of hours of Witcher and about 20 minutes of the first FC but this has blown my mind. Had no idea it would be so gigantic or gripping, have played just over 40 hours and have only completed about 38%. The attention to detail is ridiculously good, as are the graphics. Has brought new meaning to my life shooting a mammoth in the face and finding the same animal a while later with the arrow still hanging out of it. And there are few things as rewarding as sneaking up on a couple of shagging neanderthals and slitting their throats.

In the small gaps i get to play on the PS4 between my boy playing Fortnite - i recently bought Drunk'n Bar Fight on PSVR - only a tenner, but worth every penny. A good laugh, throwing pool balls at people, and stabbing them in the hand with darts - perfect for someone who is not into pub fights in the real world!

Played this a few months back. Absolute quality. One of the best open world games I have played.
Will you be aiming for 100% completion? I generally don't stick around long after I have completed the main story lines in these types of games.

Probably won't go for 100% as the caves do my head in, complete them only where necessary. I will however spend many unnecessary hours roaming around Oros looking for trespassers.

download assassins creed syndicate when it was on gold recently. was late coming into these and the only two ive played properly is this one and the pirates one. easy enjoyable game that you can do a quick half hour here and there. does get a tad repetitive but ive enjoyed it so far

Re: What are you playing at the moment?
I've played the majority of the Assassins Creed games. Think the pirate one has been my favorite so far. I generally wait a year or so before getting them though so haven't got Origins yet which seems to be seen as one of the best from what I've read!
Played Skyrim for an hour last night and probably progressed about 0.01%..

I'm glad someone agrees with me! Been informed by my GF that I am far to old to be playing a playstation.... Tempted to tell her my playstation was there long before she was, and would be there after she was gone...(Clearly im not brave enough to do that, but I was tempted....)

Good to know, at least 6 more years for me then
Well that's the key for me aswell. My job has flexible working hours and she is a teacher who will be in relatively late most nights. So i generally try to get my fill before she gets home, avoid all the judgement!

If you're referring to Black Flag that's going to be my next waste of a few months, looks very impressive. Glad I jumped on the PS bandwagon a few decades late as I have plenty to catch up on.

Re: What are you playing at the moment?
I'd never played an Assassins Creed game until I tried Black Flag and I just couldn't enjoy it. The overall controls and combat put me off it. I've been told that if you've played one AC then you've played them all which is a shame because AC Syndicate looks gorgeous. Different strokes for different folks I suppose.

Re: What are you playing at the moment?
Got carried away buying Black Flag and bought the bundle including Syndicate and Unity as well. Started playing Syndicate but don't really know what I'm doing, taking me a while to get used to the controls. Hope I pick it up soon before I launch the controller through the TV.

A bit of game rage never hurt anyone, Galt. I've nearly burst into tears plenty of times and if someone tells you to clam down "it's only a game' then you have my permission to kill.

Re: What are you playing at the moment?
Syndicate was quite good. Liked the introduction of the Boroughs, getting to take over them by Gangwarfare, kidnap and assassinations.
There is a new game coming out from Ubisoft' Skull & Bones, that is basically just Black flag with no land portion, all pirates.(I'm guessing there will be a lot more to the Pirate stuff than there was in Black Flag).
