Yeah a few I would rather have gone here, would think playing is a better experience than just being involved in a camp.

Zach Mercer, Will Evans are the only forwards I recognise.
Few more in the backs - A-Robinson, TBC, Ibitoye, Malins, Randall and Umaga all played in the U20s 6N.
I am sure there were a few more.

Looks a pretty strong squad. Even with the Curry brothers off to Argentina, the back row of Evans Earl and Mercer is one to savour. Randall and Malins at halfback with some big skilful centres should prove a handful.
Samoa, Wales & Australia in the pool should provide a stern test but the production line keeps turning out youngsters to remain very competitive.

Isiekwe, Ben and Tom Curry, Maunder and Cokanisiga would have all been eligible. I hope we don't have a bad tournament because these guys have been withdrawn.
I'd much rather the senior squad's coaching team worked closer with the Under-20s team to make the integration into seniors smoother, but leaves the guys able to play in this tournament.
Although Isiekwe, the Currys and Cokasinga will all be young enough to play the competition next year, and Maunder doesn't have an U20 cap because of injury, so him missing doesn't disrupt the squad.

Cokanasiga will be too old for it next year.
Still a pretty strong squad despite the withdrawals, although it's obviously made things a little more challenging. Good to have Evans back involved at least and Crossdale (who is pretty handy) back from the injury that kept him out of the 6N

I thought the cut-off was 1 September, in which case Cokanasiga will still be 19? Could be wrong though.
Re: U20s JWC Squads and Discussion - Georgia
Believe it switches to calendar year for U20s meaning some players only have one year of U20s eligibility after school. Johnny Williams with a November birthday was the same last time (playing U18s 2015, U20s 2016 and out of eligibility 2017).

The backs are looking extremely strong. It will be interesting to see how much the forwards have been weakened.

Earl, Mercer and Evans is still a cracking back row at this level. Depth certainly more of an issue though after the call ups.

The competition for 10, 12 and 15 shirts will be intense.
