It has to be approved through a facilities meeting which was postponed a week ago and is now due for Monday. I would like to get this sorted well before the new school year in September and I vaguely remember that my notice period is quite long. So i'll prepare everything first up and if it's a no go will hand my notice in straight away.

Notice is often 3 months, though normally negotiated shorter as there is no point having a disgruntled employee in role. This is where the plan B is key, because if you have somewhere to go, burning bridges is less of an issue and much less f**ks are given, this is especially dodgy, I would imagine, for security personnel, who are often given gardening leave.

HR in any company is a natural bottleneck as they generally do not know role specific issues.

Aye will bundle the plan B in with the copy of my contract and my amended terms. Hopefully someone will get the hint.

All optics* aside, I was aurally affronted by the "I client face a lot" comment upon reading it.

However I think we should all forgive rick. I've put it down to a contemporary type of argot prevalent amongst the upper snot-crust, high bell-end City folk he unfortunately has to deal with.

The poor bloke obviously needs a good holiday. I'd suggest either Reykjavík, Antofagasta or Okinawa... but definitely not Surabaya, Dhaka or Nganmarriyanga. Absolute hell holes I'd imagine.
