The heat is on! So glad you guys are getting a good dose of sunshine and heat.

Coolish here by night but quite warm by day in the sun. Can get away with short sleeves between 9am and 3pm. I see people still wearing shorts down at the shops. Islanders of course.

I suspect the fast goes slow.

No problems so far, yesterday was a bit unpleasant but still motoring on through - Saturday the last day I believe and working Sunday so an opportunity to eat all the junk I want without anyone except my colleague to bitch about it. This Ramadhan has been a revelation in excellent dining, had a delicious homemade peri peri roasted chicken with white buttered rice on friday, Pizza cooked by me on Saturday (fecking disaster, nearly killed everyone via overspice), and Lamb Karahi Lahori style last night, which was fecking beautiful with Kashmiri Pink Tea. Anyways, how are things with you?

Bet dehydration is a bitch in this weather.

Not bad here mate still trying to work out where to put stuff in the new place but barring that, not much going on.

It is a bit, but do eat lots of watermelon, melon, berries, grapes and kiwi. Also pomegranate seeds and you've stocked up on enough juice to cross the outback.

Good mix of fruits, Shah. I do similar ones here on those really hot summer days when the thought of heating anything is just too much.
My favourite - watermelon, melon, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, grapes & kiwi. Although I love apples, oranges and bananas they tend to go mushy/off colour quickly in the fridge when you make it in bulk.

The first few are at Mum's place (the jungle).  Birds, birds, birds... they are so tame & trusting.
Casa El Dog (the plains) is looking very nice indeed in winter.
Think I'll need to install turnstiles in the spring and summer. I noticed the ibis are already eying the pool. They love water.

Not bad at all, gotta make my biannual visit to the barber today after the morning shift so not looking forward to it. Other than that though - Ramadhan is three or four days away from completion. Spliff, Here I come. Waiting for the monthly meeting where our issues are given air and we browbeat them into paying us the pay rise from april. Always nice to have an extra couple hundred quid in the eid paypacket. Are you still struggling with getting yourself settled in?

I don't mind my barber, we talk about football and he cuts quickly.

I am actually enjoying it here at the moment, lots of interesting stuff on the go, and the team I am in is both competent and a good laugh.

Not been able to pick many winners at Ascot however, which is a bummer.
