10 overs bowled which means there will definitely be a positive result.
So far, looking good for Surrey on 61/1. Sanga some way to making up for his very ordinary game at Taunton.

Never in doubt once Rocky and Sanga got going. Not sure how well we would have coped if they had fallen for about 20 each but I'll leave those concerns for another day. Open the bar, JimBob!

Despite being utterly screwed by the ever baffling Duckworth Lewis system, a stroll for our red hot top order! Has a bat ever had the start to a career at his new club like Stoneman has at Surrey?

Following other comments about today's Surrey v Essex fixture being on the general RL 50 thread, I've posted my review of the game there.

Cardinal sin not to bat your 50 overs out it cost us in the end
Have to say Jade was excellent again with the ball let's just say he wasn't best pleased with ravioli when harmer came back for a second run to keep the strike when there should never have been one. Lots of from him.
Pope might be due a game Friday as burns and Sibley struggled again
And maybe a chance for virdi.
We really are missing son of boris in the middle overs and Batty doesn't seem willing to give Borthwick the ball.

Some good and interesting points there, JimBob.
The risk of bringing in Virdi is that if he goes for a few early doors, you've still got to bowl him for 10 overs or in a combo with Borthwick.
As you say, Ansari being gone is the real problem. He brought a good all round balance to the side.
Someone on the Supporters' club forum suggested Rampaul had been doing all his training in the Kennington Tandoori!
