Alex Noren set a catch me if you can challenge to the third round leaders in shooting a course record 62.  He posted -11 and waited and waited and waited to see if anyone could match or better it.  Eventually the answer was no.  Fellow pick Francesco Molinari finished second after two closing birdies and four Fantasy Leaguers had both of them in their selections.  GPB, Pedro, Raycastleunited, and Super_Realist had the double.  Pedro, Ray, and Super added another two scoring picks to cement their place at the top of the leaderboard.  Ray's multiple picks making the cut made the difference in the end.  GPB had one extra scoring pick.  Be_the_Ball, Kwinigolfer, and SirBenson also had four scoring picks and SirB also had Noren.  Davie, Eyetoldyouso, LadyPutt, McLaren, and Sand matched GPB with three scoring picks.  AlciG, Beninho, I'm Never Wrong, and TheCleaver had two scoring picks, AlciG and I'm Never Wrong were the last Fantasy Leaguers to have Noren.  Owen10ozzy had one scoring pick.

The European Tour flagship event is also the first of the much vaunted Rolex Series.  Henrik Stenson leads the way as the top ranked player in the field, he's joined by fellow top tenner Justin Rose.  Chris Wood is the defending champion and other recent winners include Byeong Hun An, Matteo Manassero, back to back winner Luke Donald, and David Howell.

There are three Categories where you will need pick three players, plus reserve, from each one.  There are bonus points available if you get all of your picks through in any category.  Get all 9 picks through and you get an even bigger bonus.  It's all way down at the bottom in the scoring section if you are interested.

This is a full field with cut event, cut points will be available; see above.

RULES

Picking players: Unless stated, pick a total of 9 players as follows:

Pick 3 players from each category, plus a reserve per category.

Event winner: The person with the most total points at the completion of each event will be declared the winner. In case of a tie, those involved will match-off each picks' final position score in descending order. i.e. Player A's best finish vs. Player B's best finish, Player A's 2nd best finish vs. Player B's 2nd best finish, etc... until one's pick finishes better than the other(s).

If there is a tie after all 9 picks have been matched against each other, those involved will be declared co-winners.

Player Withdrawals: If you pick a player who withdraws during a tournament, that player will be eligible for points for all completed rounds and making the cut if they withdraw after the cut. It must be apparent that the player completed their round for them to be eligible for either the low round, worse round, top 5, or top 10 low round scores.  If a player withdraws before starting the tournament then your reserve will be put in that player's place. It is up to you to check that your players are in the starting field.

Holidays / Absences: If you will be absent for an upcoming event (e.g holidays) you may post the numbers on the most recent fantasy league event and the respective tournament(s) that apply or PM them to me.  Example: Pick 3 players and 1 reserve from each category and the relative event number or name: Players 4, 5, and 8, reserve 9 from Category A, players 1, 3, and 7, reserve 5 from Category B, players 1, 2 and 17, reserve 12 from Category C, Event #12.

Failure to submit picks: If you do not submit picks you will be awarded zero points.

Deadlines: Picks must ideally be submitted before the first drive is struck on the first day of the tournament.  However, late picks submitted after the tournament has begun must be for players who have yet to start (or are not showing a score on europeantour.com, PGATour.com, etc.), and these will not be valid unless they are seconded by any other league member.

All fantasy league disputes and discrepancies will be considered by the League Judge: LadyPutt. All decisions made by the League Judge are final.

No worries INW. It's one of those things that comes up from time to time. I think there's been discussions in the past over the OWGR points for the PGA tournament and what the strength of field calculation would actually be.

I think but can't confirm his tee time was 1:25PM, 10 minutes before your selection, the fact you were scrambling to get picks in make it easy to overlook.

Thirteen players shot 68 or lower to make the Top 5 Low Round scores. Six picks were among those thirteen and SirBenson and Super_Realist had three of those six in their picks. They take the early lead over AlciG, Be_the_ball, Eyetoldyouso, GPB, Kwinigolfer, Pedro, and Raycastleunited who all had two picks score. Beninho, Davie, I'm Never Wrong, LadyPutt, McLaren, Owen10ozzy, and Sand each had one pick score. SetupDetermines and TheCleaver are yet to score however Setup was hampered by all Cat A picks being out on the course when he made his picks. The majority of the Fantasy League scoring picks came from Cat A.

The cut line fell at +2 and for some that was one shot too low. Cat C proved to be problematic with two thirds of the picks packing their bags. No one managed the full set but Kwinigolfer and Raycastleunited came close; Ray's pick of Marc Warren missed the cut by one shot, Kwini's missing pick wasn't even close. Several Fantasy Leaguers earned two cut bonuses; Eyetoldyouso, LadyPutt, McLaren, Pedro, and Sand earned two from their seven remaining picks. GPB also has seven picks left but only one bonus. Davie, SirBenson, Super_Realist, and TheCleaver all have six picks left, all earned a cut bonus and Davie was the last to have two cut bonuses. Be_the_Ball, Beninho, I'm Never Wrong, and Owen10ozzy all have five picks left, BtB and Owen both earned a cut bonus. AlciG earned a cut bonus from his remaining four picks. SetupDetermines paid the price for picking very late, what little he could find all missed the cut.

Luke Donald, Andrew Johnston, and Maximilian Kieffer all shot 68 to tie for the low round of the day; Donald earned points for Kwini, Sand, and Super.

Alex Noren set a catch me if you can challenge to the third round leaders in shooting a course record 62. He posted -11 and waited and waited and waited to see if anyone could match or better it. Eventually the answer was no. Fellow pick Francesco Molinari finished second after two closing birdies and four Fantasy Leaguers had both of them in their selections. GPB, Pedro, Raycastleunited, and Super_Realist had the double. Pedro, Ray, and Super added another two scoring picks to cement their place at the top of the leaderboard. Ray's multiple picks making the cut made the difference in the end. GPB had one extra scoring pick. Be_the_Ball, Kwinigolfer, and SirBenson also had four scoring picks and SirB also had Noren. Davie, Eyetoldyouso, LadyPutt, McLaren, and Sand matched GPB with three scoring picks. AlciG, Beninho, I'm Never Wrong, and TheCleaver had two scoring picks, AlciG and I'm Never Wrong were the last Fantasy Leaguers to have Noren. Owen10ozzy had one scoring pick.
