Good to see Kvitova about to start the French today. Women? - wide open. Men? - Rafa.

Kvitova takes the first set 6-3. Still got that big serve and those clean-hitting winners.

Good to see Kvitova come through on her return.
Kerber in real trouble now though - set and a break down.

So then, top seed Kerber exits in R1.

And that's a first in Roland Garros history, apparently.

Perhaps not the biggest of upsets, given that she also went out in R1 here last year.
