Re: UK General Election 2017 Thread
tories likely to win between 310 and 350 seats.
Even 350 seats that is a big blow to the tories as they were hoping to increase their majority by more than 20.

Fair play to Farron. Remain vote might have some last minute traction.

Looks like the coppers know the result already. Security has arrived outside Corbyn house... or are they going to kill him should he win....? I wonder if the bookies are taking odds on it

pretty sure the Newcastle swing of 3.7% to labour is higher than the poll prediction too.

Re: UK General Election 2017 Thread
Horrible night for the tories based on the exit poll. Anything less than a 50 seat majority is a backwards step. and any majority less than 10 is a disaster. 22 point lead in the polls only 4 weeks ago to now fighting to get more mps then they currently have.

but that is a success based on the lead up to the election and predictions.
May never needed to call this election and it may backfire and cost her the majority she has or reduce her majority slightly.

Re: UK General Election 2017 Thread
It's a success based on polling 20% behind as a opposition party, but that says enough in itself.
This is a successful result for Labour but they remain 50 seats behind predicted. Can't overlook that (indeed as the SNP remain Scotland's biggest party)

Of course it is success because the polls only 4 weeks ago predicted a 100 seat majority for the tories.
You don't have to win to be successful and labour will be hugely successful if they keep the tory seats below 350.

Mhari black is fighting for her seat according to my mate, he says she looks like she's marginally ahead and might just retain a finger hold

Re: UK General Election 2017 Thread
this is a horrible result for May.
She never had to call this election, she still had 3 years to run as PM and now she looks set o weaken her party and lose key members from her team.

Early results indicating a hung parliament or a very weak conservative government.

Re: UK General Election 2017 Thread
Honestly a narrow Conservative majority would be better than a hung parliament.
Don't think anyone was expecting this, beware the exit poll though.
Come what may, at least we can all laugh at the SNP and Craig.
