My thoughts exactly. The English just can't get behind the concept. Another knock-on by an English player (Daly) - dare I say it would North have scored corner had he started?!

Isn't experienced and leadership exactly why AWJ is in the team?! Or touring at all...
Still waiting to see its effect.
He isn't captain though. That's POMs job. Amazing that you turn this comment around to slate AWJ. Obsessed doesn't even sum it up.

ABs not faultless - Lions getting chances but just not able to finish them...
Getting back into it though . Come on Farrell ...yes ! 10-3

Re: NEW ZEALAND v BRITISH & IRISH LIONS, 24 June
AWJ was a sentimental call from a Wales coach for a Welsh player...no way he should have been starting today but that's just my opinion...if he was adding the experience and leadership then I could partly understand but even that isn't noticable at the moment...
Regards the ref; we should have been preparing for it all tour...knew if we had particular refs for the games then it would go differently..the AB's taking advantage of it just as we would if we had a Northern Hemesphire ref slowing game down continously. The penalities we have given can be argued as soft but players have given ref the chance to call them...
Another case of poor distribution/handling from Lions there....another chance goes....simply have to take them when they come..

You on the touchline mikey? Kruis was asking to be stripped, far to loose with the ball in one hand. Decent spell by the Lions but need to be far more clinical..

Kruis actually has some goodwill built up by earning his place in the starting team. AWJ didn't deserve the start in the first place, of course he'll be subject to more stringent criticism.

All Blacks are best in the world, and that includes cheating. Fair play to them as you have to be streetwise. You can't expect the referee to give you the decisions.

It's just a bit sad that people will watch a game willing somebody to make mistakes. Try focussing on other players too. Personally think AWJ has done ok, that knock on aside.

Spends a lifetime on here slagging Welsh off players; can't accept the reality of the situation or handle criticism of his own players let alone give it out.
Forums aren't for angry little men who can't handle the truth. Get behind the Lions concept for once.

Re: NEW ZEALAND v BRITISH & IRISH LIONS, 24 June
Seymour would have scored that in the corner
Maitland would have given that pass to Williams (who would have been Hogg, so would have shouted louder and got the pass)
Russell would have created 20 tried by now
Jonny Gray would have stripped every AB and scores 7 tries by now

Still looks groggy after that hit. He does seem to do better for England as an impact player

No matter how many times you watch NZ....still can never quite fathom just how they become so incredible with the offloads. A thing of absolute beauty...add to that they seem to make an extra 2-3 meters after each hit and its just amazing...
Fantastic try!! Get in!
Brilliant from Williams....excellent composure from Daly...Davies lovely offload to O'Brian!

Not a big Williams fan, not a big Gatland fan, not a big Wales fan and I'd take Hogg nine times out of ten but my god Hogg would have to be at his absolute best to justify selection ahead of Williams.

Is ref reffing just the one team for offside or what? Saying that the Lions look too static in both defence and attack.

+1 I just don't understand why Williams was at wing through the 6N. Wales could have turned some more games over with him at FB - formidable attack.

Their next back three player is Cuthbert, who does a minority of things required to be an international at a barely acceptable standard.

Have to say, doing much better than I thought we would. Still think NZ may just move through the gears 2nd half...but as mentioned if we can keep in touch for first 15 mins of it then you never know...
Barely got a mention, but the catch from Watson was outstanding and pivotal in the game too.
