66 minutes
First topic message reminder :
66 minutes.
That is the amount of test match minutes Scotland has contributed to the Lions test matches in 4 tours
-2005-
3rd (dead rubber) test
Gordon Bulloch 10 minutes
from the bench
-2009-
3rd (dead rubber) test
Ross Ford 43 minutes from the
bench
-2013-
3rd test
Richie Gray 13 minutes from the
bench
-2017-
No test involvement
People honestly wonder why we struggle to get behind the team?

Re: 66 minutes
But why is it always the Welsh players with you ?
Do you have something against Wales/Welsh in general ?

Yeah he does, most of them do. Thought it was obvious!

Just thought I would ask for clarity.
I doubt any of them will admit it though.

We'll keep Toby as Billy got injured, but the other 4 changes should have been made
Well this was my original post
Hartley, George and Best are all better than Owens
Kruis, Itoje, Lawes and Henderson (amongst others) are all better than AWJ
Robshaw, POM and Stander are all better than Moriarty
Why would I drop any of the Irish players when they too are better than the Welsh? Doesn't seem very fair on them.
If any of George/Best/Kruis/Itoje/Lawes/Henderson/POM/Stander were inferior to the Welsh player I've dropped, they'd be dropped instead

So which Scottish players would you put in there then ? Because after all, that is what the original debate is about isn't it ?
Also, for the record, I would not put Henderson,Kruis or Lawes ahead of AWJ, neither would I put George ahead of Owens. Also, POM is a 7 isn't he ? Stander an 8 ? So why are you comparing them all to Moriarty ?

Well this has gone way past the debate of Scottish players, you'll see I was replying to you stating England have the best pack of forwards and agreeing they should all have been in the squad ahead of the above named Welsh players
For the record - they're all better than AWJ, and seeing as even Blockhead started George over Owens, I think that one is put to bed
POM is a 6, isn't that where he started for the Lions?
Stander has been playing 6 for Ireland in around 90% of his caps even if he plays 8 for his club.

See.
I will try and debate with you properly, yet you go and act like a kid all the time by typing this type of nonsense.
I give up.

Re: 66 minutes
Ok fine, I can promise not to call you Lord Bluster anymore as long as you don't come out with any sweeping statements based on little to no fact
Is that a deal?

Ld can't debate as he can't back up some of his strange statements and then has to hide away.

If they're all better than AWJ I'm sure they would have started more Lions' tests than he has.

OK then, but if we are going by that rationale, then AWJ must be better than Kruis, Lawes and Henderson as he started all the tests as well.
BamBam wrote:POM is a 6, isn't that where he started for the Lions?
Thought he was a 7, but hey ho, Gatland played a 7 instead of him and it reaped dividends.

I am sure Stander is an outright 8, he might play 6 now and again, but again I will stand corrected.

I agree with your other points, but George was selected by an unbiased head coach
