SURREY VS HAMPSHIRE NATEEST T20 BLAST

Surrey have named a 15 man squad for the trip to Southampton to play Hampshire in the NatWest T20 Blast this afternoon.
The squad is the same as that which beat Essex on Wednesday evening and Middlesex on Friday evening – both in front of huge sold out Kia Oval crowds, which the exception of Kevin Pietersen, who misses out with a calf injury.

Yeah, maybe Burns coming in for Pietersen and Sanga continuing as keeper. Thought Sanga did very well behind the stumps on Friday.

i have to say the gaps between the games is too long, one game next Friday and then Thursday week I bet rocky must be loving this

I can't actually remember how many matches each team plays in group stage of T20. Surrey still on top of the south table at the moment, tho Gloucs, Glam and Hants hovering close behind with a game in hand (2 in the case of Gloucs).

Hi Corporal - I couldn't remember either but have since checked. 2 groups of 9, each team plays 14 games (bizarre but's that's how it is!), then the top 4 from both groups play a knock-out quarter final before finals day.

We obviously could still muck everything up but atm have a more than decent chance of reaching the quarter final.
