Dear BBC, please think
It’s bad enough having to put up with John I during the half time break etc but do they really have to give scores for other concurrent matches that people may be recording to watch later?

They missed the England score out though as they've got the highlights for that

Indeed it seems like they deliberately spoil it for matches they are not covering - someone needs to remind them they are meant to be providing a public service.
They have previous for this type of childish behaviour.

But what about people who wanted to know the score in the other games, like me?

You can Google it in two seconds. Or probably get scores off an app.Griff wrote:But what about people who wanted to know the score in the other games, like me?

So the BBC needs to deliberately not inform the public of up to date sporting news just because Heaf is recording the game? Hmmmm. Next you'll be saying that Sky Sports News needs to be taken off the airwaves, as that's pretty much all they do.

I'll sign the petition if you got one ready, Griff!
Christ, I hate the degree to which bloody sport has infiltrated everything. You turn on a radio on Saturday or Sunday and all you get is f**king eejits filing in their breathless reports from the cold stands of some non-descript gyme of football in some town where the score is nil all with seconds left on the clock and Matt Rogers has just gotten a penalty and this could change the whole fabric of the Junior Senior BACFDB Coke-is-IT Semi-Pro League table!!!!
The f**kin' tension of it all!!!! WILL HE SCORE???????
Find out over on the BBC Politics Show where they do a little sub-sports section at the end for the addicts....

Re: Dear BBC, please think
It's not like it's a random programme that they're chucking the scores into though. If they did a score newsflash in the middle of The A-Team or Dallas or something similar then that might be a bit silly. But it's a rugby match and a rugby programme, and they're all part of the same Autumn international series. Tell us the scores, I say. It was good to hear the scores yesterday in the pub. Made a nice talking point.

..stop making excuses for Matt Rogers. He's over the hill and was never a good player anyway, and you know it, Griff.

Fawlty obviously angry that when he turned on Classic FM on the radio, he got a fistful of football results instead:
"Heavy rain didn't spoil the nil all draw at Brabazon Hill where Matt Rogers, Millhead Rover's best player for 26 years now, missed a final penalty chance over the sideline flag, which means Millhead are now relegated to League V. - And now back to the remaining part of Mozart's Concerto No.20 in D minor"

Re: Dear BBC, please think
But a rugby show reporting a rugby score or two?! Really?! What I hate is the outrage at something so trivial!
"John Inverdale just told me a rugby score, while I was watching a rugby match. My life is now in tatters "

What I did see was how amateurish the BBC coverage was compared to Sky

Oh I know Griff..... It's kinda like that old ritual that the BBC go through on the News sometime.
"...and the Iraqis attacked and killed all dissidents in the village. Now, for the sport and if you don't want to know the score in the Huddersfield v Scunthorpe game then look away now"
Are people so childlike that they have to be reminded not to look at sports briefings lest they find out a score they don't want to know?
And anyway, when they look away, they hear the result being pronounced anyway.... and when they turn down the sound, the score comes up in print in big letters, with flashing flames around it!
And when they smash their TV with a sledgehammer, the nosey neighbour looking for the proverbial bowl of sugar comes in and blurts out the score anyway.
NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ban all unsolicited score result divulgences!!!!

Re: Dear BBC, please think
They should maybe consider the Wales fans feelings when announcing the scores at all and put warnings before broadcasting the replays.

Please also think about the commentators, yesterdays commentary was dire to say the least.

Get rid of 'em all, I reckon. Don't have any commentary.
And a wider camera angle please.
