Kalamazoo Outrage v Fußball
- Voter 1:
- Kalamazoo Outrage v Fussball
This has to go down as a Kalamazoo Outrage win for me. I can see what Trebs is trying to do but he needs to get rid of some players who just aren't good enough IMO. Lingard is one of them. I spoke to Trebs personally about how i feel about his team and whilst there are some positives, there are a few negatives also. Rashford centrally i like but needed Eder on the left side instead of Lingard. Saying all that, Hero's team will be too strong in this game for me, the front 3 will cause all sorts of problems and with Hero playing pretty much his first xi, i can't see Fussball getting anything from the game.
- Voter 2:
- Kalamazoo vs Futball - Kalamazoo
- If could give this a draw i would cos expect it to be high scoring.
Kalamazoo
+ Front 4 although Sancho is needing upgrading as he's good but not as good as everyone else you have.
+ Thiago Silva - Literally having him edges it your way
- The rest of the back 4 isn't good
- Need to set your tactics out better as it gets lost in translation being 1 paragraph
Futball
+ Rashford
- Why you played Garcia & Lingard over Eder & Payet is possibly the silliest decision you've made tactically in seasons just removed the other 60% of your attacking threat
- Some of the back 4 needs upgrading barring Jones and his gurning tard face.
- Voter 3:
- Outrage v Fussball.
Most difficult game to call so far. I think Trebs has pulled out his usual tactical brilliance and for me it was always going to be a case of could Hero go toe to toe. So here goes...
Defensively Trebs has done very well, gone nice and compact and limited space for Hero’s flair players, especially as he has asked them to play narrower. Hero has thrown a surprise with Sancho, although I don’t think he is up to that standard yet and Fussball would handle him. Hero’s players are better, but I think Trebs system and players will win this battle.
Midfield - with Thomas staying more solid and effectively ending up picking up Asensio, it is Fellaini and Garcia versus Milinkovic and Pellegrini. Trebs has gone for physical players, and Hero has a good mix. Milinkovic will relish the physical battle, whilst Pellegrini won’t shy away from it, and Hero’s two will bring that extra bit of flair so this battle goes to Hero.
Finally, Hero’s defence against Trebs attack. For both, the weakest area is on the same side - Lingard v Gomez. Whilst I don’t particularly like either, Lingard is the better for me. Rashford is up against Silva and I can see Silva handling him, especially with the pace of Mere to cover him. Vasquez against Grimaldo is interesting, especially with Trebs targeting that area. I think Grimaldo will cope defensively, and with the CBS sitting right and the pacey Mere on that side, I think Outrage will deal with Trebs tactics.
So overall, a Hero win.

- Outrage - Unanimous win

Deportivo Wanka v Cape-Coast Mysterious Dwarfs
- Voter 1:
- Deportivo Wanka v Cape Coast
Like the look of both sides here, some real form players on show. I like the look of both defences, think Parolo and Dembele would get on top in the midfield area. Afro has targeted their physicality, but think the two of them look more physical than their opposition! Both sets of wide players will have a little joy when the FBs go forward, but think Nando might have an edge with Fekir floating around. I really wanted to give this as a draw, but have to go with a Wanka win based on them game planning for some key threats, and the attacking approach
Wanka win
- Voter 2:
- Deportivo Wanka v Cape-Coast Mysterious Dwarfs
Really good game lineup wise and tactically. Usually this would be pushing draw territory however with Nando opting to play narrow against a side that will be looking to play wider is what has made me say a Dwarfs win here. I will say that if i were Afro, i would have potentially gone with Boudebouz in behind Silva and put Lozano out wide. Lozano can do a job pretty much anywhere behind but im not a huge fan of Juanmi to be completely honest. Lozano is a fantastic buy as well.
- Voter 3:
- Wanka v Dwarfs
Hard game to score, I do think the Wanka midfield holds off the Dwarfs attacking midfield threat and it leads to Silva being isolated, but Laporte and Chiellini have enough to stop Rodrigo and Falcao, and Fekir would struggle against Ghoulam. I would award this game to the Dwarfs with Callejon being the difference maker.
Wanka need to improve on Bruma and Rodrigo next in that system, with the Dwarfs I'd have played a different system, Callejon RW and Lozano LW, IMO their best positions. Juanmi weakens the attack. Also could improve on Mario Suarez.
- Result:
- Dwarfs - Split win

Re: Week 5 Results
Olympique Marswag v Shakhtar Senseless
- Voter 1:
- Marswag vs Senseless - Senseless win
Feedback - very tight game this one, two evenly matched sides, with two evenly matched formations. Personally think though two combinations win this for senseless. Firstly I think their tactics are more detailed and succinct, thus their players are more informed. Secondly I think the right side of the Marswag defence (hit by injury) really struggles to deal with the threat of Pedro and Jesus, and ultimately they team up and win this game for Senseless.
Marswag feedback - as hinted in my overall feedback, team looks good but I think you need more detail in your tactics. Some are good but parts like "Zappacosta and Gaya will be getting back behind the ball when we lose possession" isn't actually saying anything, they need to know how they were gonna handle Pedro etc. Also got a little unlucky with injuries this week
Senseless feedback - Best XI in the league for me Marky. Really potent attack, and a solid defence. Would encourage you not to get too predictable tactically, but your tactics are well written as ever and you pickup a good win here. Might look to improve on Hazard potentially.
- Voter 2:
- Marswag v Shakhtar
Both sides have set up in similar systems and similar play styles. Shakhtar are playing a strong pressing game, and think they'll have some success with a physical midfield pairing. Both sides have good full backs who'll prevent the wide players having too much of an influence. I think both strikers will have some chances, but the Shakhtar defence is better suited to stopping Immobile than the Marswag defence is against Jesus. I'll give Shakhtar the win based on Jesus's finishing
Shakhtar win
- Voter 3:
- Marswag v Shakhtar
Yet another week of tough games to call. Based upon the tactics employed I tried to weigh up who would have most chance implementing them and I had to go for Marswag. Shakhtar said about playing a pressing game but then have Kovacic and Mascherano sitting in front of back 4 and I think it invited too much pressure. I dont think it will be a tight game and both teams will score but I feel Marswag will come out on top.
- Result:
- Shakhtar - Split win

Re: Week 5 Results
Deportivo Moron v Ebbsfleet United
- Voter 1:
- Deportivo Moron v Ebbsfleet United
Quite the odd partnership upfront for Ebbsfleet, not sure if it’s genius or madness. Appreciate Twist had a few injuries on the flanks but I’d have looked to shoehorn Brandt in the team somehow, he’s an exceptional player. Overall wise on Ebbsfleet I’d like to see more of an overarching theme, what’s everything building towards, is it just a direct game to Zlatan? Tactically though I think formation wise you’ve surprised Deportivo in a couple of key areas (2 upfront and overloading in midfield). My main concern is dealing with Moron when they push on the flanks.
For Deportivo Mignolet is a key person to improve upon, in real life he’s always going to be thought of as a liability. Midfield wise it’s looking very solid now and despite expecting to have the edge in numbers in midfield I think you’ve got the overall quality (Goretzka v Rabiot sounds mouthwatering though), Stark having to deal with Ibra, hope he’s wearing his Mark VII armor.
Overall I see this as a game in which Moron have the majority of control of the game but struggle at times to deal with Ebbsfleet’s attack. I’d expect it to be a fairly high scoring game but I’m edging just towards Moron.
Moron win
- Voter 2:
- Moron vs Ebbsfleet - Moron win
Feedback - I kinda think Ebbsfleet have played into Moron's hands here, for me Moron's weakness is their FBs and with Brandt out wide you'd have really destroyed them, as it is Moron sit deep and nullify Vardy really, and the middle gets clogged up. As the game goes on, I struggle to see Bender/Winks covering the FBs greatly, and I think Moron nick a 1-0 here. Shame for Ebbsfleet, I can kinda see what they were trying here - but as I said for me Moron's weakness is out wide, and they play into their hands trying to go through the middle against a strong Moron spine.
Moron - For the love of god get a new GK Bam and potentially RB too - otherwise I love your XI. Really strong CM and CB partnership, and I think your front three work well together too.
Ebbsfleet - Like I said in the feedback, imo Brandt has to start. I'd like to see an improvement up front, Vardy can be quite easy to mark out of a game imo. Enjoyed the CM forward three, if you are playing DM I'd like to see an improvement on Bender personally.
- Voter 3:
- Moron vs Ebbsfleet
I liked the switch to a diamond today thought it changed the dynamics nicely as Moron went from expecting to boss the midfield to finding themselves evenly matched.
Zlatan and Vardy nice blend of pace and power would cause Tah and Stark all kinds of problems.
Still expect Moron to win the midfield battle but they're just to narrow to really exploit the diamond - away win
- Result:
- Deportivo Moron - Split win

Re: Week 5 Results
SAS v Fiorentina Turner
- Voter 1:
- SAS vs Tina Turner - SAS Win
SAS
+ 3-5-2 suits the players you have
+ Midfield 3 are top quality
+ Wingbacks are solid going forward & back which is needed
- Tammy & Kongolo aren't good enough
Tina Turner
+ Front 2 will win you a lot of games mainly ones Afro or Hero votes on
- Tactics seemed rushed
- Kessie & De Rossi doesn't feel a good enough partnership at the moment with the way both are playing IRL
- Need to sort out the defense barring Barzagli/Alves
- BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY YOU ARE PLAYING WITH 10 MEN YOU ABSOLUTE T*T
- Voter 2:
- SAS v Fiorentina Turner
Both teams line up with pretty much the same formation, overall I’d say Tino has the better formation whilst Olly has written more detailed tactics, that’s not necessarily meaning though that more detailed equals win. If there ever was a game in which a draw should be an option it should be this, having to be pushed I’m edging it 51% towards Tino.
Fiorentina win
Realised that Montoya is injured for Tino. Not sure what to say on this, obviously in reality this would be noticed so a replacement plays in his position (Denisov), if so my result stands, if not then it's a win for Olly.
- Voter 3:
- SAS vs Fiorentina Turner
SAS have a very nicely balanced team, in particular the defense fits well together. In terms of player quality Tammy Abraham just isn't good enough IMO, there's one or two other weaknesses. SAS having two against the three upfront in Belotti, Dzeko works well. Add to that that Fiorentina Turner have opted to counter attack, which doesn't really suit the strengths of their strikers and its hard to see them having much joy. For me Turner need to get rid of a couple of the older heads, bring in a couple of younger players and add pace to their team. Especially if they want to play counter-attacking there needs to be one running in behind. Would also like to see a bit more thought on how Turner would deal with some of the SAS players. For me, there's no option but to give the home win here.
SAS win.
