rugby law "simplification"
you cannot simplify the "laws" or the game of rugby just so more people can understand as the simple act of doing this would put its interpretation in question. The rules of rugby in any shape or form (digital/written/spoken) should be quoted at all times in its the full original version as should any reference made to it, otherwise its pointless having it in the first place. I cannot understand what world rugby is seeking to achieve by making. In an article by the Australian Bill Beaumont is quoted as saying - quote "The laws can be difficult for new participants and fans and the new law book goes a long way towards simplifying it and making it easier to understand.” He is actually stating "the new law book". Yet the article also states "The simplified rule book is designed to make the laws easier to understand while not altering their meaning or affecting the way the game is played". They need to get rid of this lout as he doesnt seem fit for the role. Perhaps his advisors would be best be dropped (along with Beaumont) or informed about how the laws of the game should be applied

I dont think hes the right person for the role in this day and age. World rugby needs a savvy executive body with a few steady stalwarts to give it some sense of relevance as far as the modern game is concerned. I dont see many bright minds amongst this lot that are able to take the legacy aspect of the game and effectively move it into the future. As it stands they're doing a miserable job...
