Week 10 Results
SAS v Fussball
- Voter 1:
- SAS v Fussball
IMO i think this has to go to Fussball (Trebs). Olly should be looking to attack teams and push onto them instead of countering i feel, even if his tactics were well written for the task he asked his team to do. Trebs on the other hand, i like the new width and the fact that Payet is sitting in the middle, i think if you are to play this more often then I would look to improve on RW and LB albeit not desperate.
- Voter 2:
- SAS v Fusball
SAS - I like the defence, very solid and has no real weakness even missing Kolasinac. Going forwards, I think the pace will have some success against the Fusball defence, but I think you're asking a lot of your midfield two in this formation. I think they'll struggle to cover enough ground to protect the defence all game long.
Fusball - Attack looks good, but Dzeko will struggle to impose himself physically on any of the 3 CBs, and may be a bit on the periphery. The wide forwards will get on top over 90 mins, and I think the midfield will outnumber SAS and get some good possession. Defensively, Kompany can be got at and Mertens is lethal, and I'd back him to score
I find this very difficult to call. Both sides have some excellent players, and have set up well tactically. I think it will be a tight game, but Fusball use their extra possession and create enough to win it
Fusball win
- Voter 3:
- SAS vs Fussball
SAS have a really strong team, I like the spine and I very much like Mertens up-top, sitting deep is a risk but it does have a good pay-off if it comes off. Trebs changes things around, Dzeko is a good pick-up for him as it adds power to a blistering attack. this for me is a really close run thing, Trebs is a little narrow (apart from thr trident) so doesn't expose SAS's defence as much as he could...and I think Jones and Kompany get run ragged the other way round.
very narrow SAS win,

- Fussball - Split win

Deportivo Moron v Fiorentina Turner
- Voter 1:
- D.Moron vs Tino Turn Her - Tino Victory
Both playing the same system in effect and think Tino has got the tactical & XI advantage this week so win for Tino (Miracles do happen at Xmas)
- Voter 2:
- Deportivo Moron v Fiorentina Turner
Decent tactics from both side, just looking at the formations alone although Turner are playing a very compact formation with tiki taka i can see Bam's formation handling that well and pushing it out wide a lot with the wingbacks pressuring with Coman and Taison doing the same. Moron Win.
- Voter 3:
- Moron v Turner
Looks like this is the battle of the wingbacks! Both formations very much alike with the slight difference of Turner's 10 duo rather than playing wider like Moron's. Injuries have hit Turner hard but I like how they have utilized the formation to get their best two players forward whenever possible. I just feel overall Moron have the better side so I that is why I am awarding them the win.
WIN for Moron

- Moron - Split win

Re: Week 10 Results
Olympique Marswag v Ebbsfleet United
- Voter 1:
- Marswag v Ebbsfleet
From the flanks I expect Marswag to be a threat whilst centrally Ebbsfleet can dominate. Tactically I think Miky needs to read through his post and rework it going forward especially defensively, pretty much every line is ‘drop deep when lose ball’, attacking wise it’s ‘push forward’. Twist’s tactics are very good, team wise I think Miky’s is better but there’s still work to be done especially wide and apart from Silva/Goretzka/Brandt there’s probably not many players you’d be looking to keep into Season 2.
Ebbsfleet win
- Voter 2:
- Marseillesbians vs Ebbsfleet - Marswag
I feel a lot of the Ebbsfleet threat is through the middle and Marswag have seen it coming and it's played into Miky's hand so giving him the edge for the victory.
Notes
Meunier > Zappacosta & Thauvin/Robben are both RW so might be worth selling one to get a LW in
Ebbsfleet need better Full Backs, Moving Bakambu to head wide right seems a strange tactic get him in behind
- Voter 3:
- Marswag v Ebbsfleet
Incredibly hard to call, both sides have made improvements throughout the season and both have sides that I like a lot. In order to separate them I need to be super critical and nitpicky AF. I think Marswag missed Fernandinho, despite their terrific back five I feel David Silva is in far too good form to be ignored in tactics and he would be my match winner for Ebbsfleet. No real concerns for Marswag but they were unfortunate that they had to play Anguissa instead of Fernandinho against an AM pairing of Silva and Goretzka.

- Ebbsfleet - Split win

Re: Week 10 Results
Deportivo Wanka v Shakhtar Senseless
- Voter 1:
- Wanka vs Shakhtar - Shakhtar win
Overall - think this is a high scoring game, both teams have very good attacks and slightly questionable defences. I just fancy Shakhtar's front three to be more clinical than the Wanka forward players, and whilst I like the setup from Wanka and they have success in midfield, I think the front three of Shakhtar against the back four of Wanka is the bigger win for Shakhtar and they win this one
Wanka - solid team lineup, love your midfield. I'd maybe get Alonso on free kicks, he's a real killer there. You got a little screwed by injuries this week cos I think if you have Fekir and Hernandez you can go score for score with Shakhtar. Would look to upgrade DM/ST next if i were you
Shakhtar - really like the tactics today, the front three is legit boss and I think that is where you win the game ultimately. Would maybe look to upgrade Danilo or Cech next if I were you but it's splitting hairs cos you have one of if not the best XIs in the league
- Voter 2:
- Wanka v Shakhtar
Feel Shakhtar overall has a stronger spine though going forward Mascherano may well need to be moved on with a potential RL move to China. Wanka has a very solid back four, one of the best in the league and it holds out for most of the game and it’s a bit of magic from Douglas Costa that separates the 2 sides.
Shakhtar win
- Voter 3:
- Wanka v Shahktar
I really struggled here. Nando has done a good job of cancelling out the stronger Shahktar players and don’t see Shahktar scoring many. But I think Markys formation causes him problems with Lozano coming inside playing into the 3 at the back strategy.
The deciding factor for me is Lozano up against Zagadou. Whilst Zagadou will be a great player he is prone to mistakes and sometimes doesn’t position himself well. Against Lozano this would be suicide so whilst struggling to pick a winner, this is the one thing that sways me.
Wanka win

- Shakhtar - split win

Re: Week 10 Results
Kalamazoo Outrage v Cape-Coast Mysterious Dwarfs
- Voter 1:
- Kalamazoo vs Dwarfs
Strong sides for both here. I like the look of the Dwarfs 5-3-2, and think it could pose a real challenge against Outrage's attacking midfield line. I'd back the Dwarfs CBs to take care of Werner effectively. The challenge will be the FBs against the wide players, and I think they've got the right approach by forcing them infield into the crowded middle of the field.
Outrage are looking to crowd out Jesus and push the wingers infield, but their FBs haven't really got direct opposition, and I think they are both better going forwards. I think Silva/Lenglet can match up well against the Dwarfs front two, and outside of that I don't really see a goal threat
Think this will be a tight game, and despite the attacking quality on show, I think it will be a low scoring game won by Outrage
Outrage win
- Voter 2:
- Outrage vs Dwarfs - Outrage win
Overall - sheesh is this a tough game to call. Honestly I've sat here for 20 minutes now and I still keep flitting. I think I am going to have to go for a Outrage win. Both teams have setup really well to counter the other, Afro has played it correctly defensively by playing compact and looking to use Callejon/Jesus against the Outrage CBs, but Outrage have identified this and are looking to press high and keep the pressure on. For me, I just think the quality Outrage have in that front four can create and finish enough chances, and especially the matchup of Depay on Abate is one they go to the well and win. Also Dwarfs open up in the last 20 minutes, which they need to do to try and get back into the game, but Outrage take advantage of that space and finish the game off late.
Outrage - Front four gives me a fantasy football manager boner, and you've identified how Afro will try to contain you well. I think he has some success against Lenglet with Callejon/Jesus, so maybe that would be the next place I'd improve for you, but when you have the firepower in that forward line it's going to be touch to stop you!
Dwarfs - Not sure about playing Masina ahead of Ghoulam personally. I can see why you've done it, but I think Ghoulam is just better all round tbh. I think your tactics have nullified the effect your injuries have, and you've setup really nicely, especially identifying Callejon/Jesus on their CBs. I just think Hero's front four are so hard to contain for a whole game, that his quality just comes through for him to win this one
- Voter 3:
- Kalamazoo Outrage vs Cape Coast Mysterious Dwarfs
The home side have the better side on paper. Depay is an interesting choice of signing, hard to judge but I do think there's talent there. Grimaldo, Lenglet and Pellegrini would be the places I'd look to upgrade when looking at the team on paper. I like them getting the wingers in behind and SMS being the one getting forward.
As far as I can tell with Masina he's a more defensive option at full back, not sure whether Ghoulam would have been more sensible. I do imagine them being good on the counter with their midfielders picking the passes and the two upfront (like Callejon ST). The side is solid enough - fullbacks are questionable and the midfield trio isn't as good as Hero's.
So looking at the game as a whole, I can see Sule getting the better of Werner in the game, both managers wanted this matchup in the tactics and for me that favours Afro. Thiago Silva against Jesus is a struggle because of the pace difference. But, Hero has the wingers that would get joy against the fullbacks and I could see them getting on the front foot. It's one of the most difficult games to call and it's why I'm against this system but I'm going to go for Kalamazoo victory.
- Result:
- Outrage - Unanimous win

Re: Week 10 Results
Cheers Afro, wonder if SMS's RL form helped towards it, stating for him to get in the box late seemed to time it perfectly ahead of his 2 goals at the weekend.
