Dragons Season Thread 2017/18 - New Beginnings
First topic message reminder :
Are you sure ? I've read it that he suffered a concussion so he hasn't been picked INCASE he suffers another.

Jackman really can't settle on a hooker mind.
Just saw Simon Thomas tweet Leon Brown has suffered a second concussion. If that's so, I wonder if that means the first wasn't really dealt with properly?

Re: Dragons Season Thread 2017/18 - New Beginnings
I am not sure they will take it too seriously, particularly as they won't be happy they didn't qualify for the Champions Cup for the upcoming season. I imagine they will look to take the league very seriously.
That said, so might we. I don't personally care how well we do in Europe and am more concerned about us doing much much better in the league.
But it is a great chance to see them, particularly over there for me. I didn't expect to play them other than in a pre-season game (given I didn't expect them to drop down to our comp or vice versa for a while), so this is amazing.

Props aside, a pack with Shipp, Davies, Williams (though his pro future is at blindside), Greggains, Keddie, and Basham in it has the look of a decent unit for the under 23 league. Might even be able to add Leon Brown to the mix as he's playing his way back to fitness.

Duncan Bell too, as one of the ‘wild card’ not-U23 players. Should have a decent squad

I read that. I am afraid I won't be convinced still. Bit strange thinking of Fairbrother as third choice again.

The only thing that can help Suter is a career change.

Harsh but true.
Would have done a better job as a LH or maybe even hooker.

Am I right in thinking that we still haven't announced who's succeeding Shaun Connor? Aren't we cutting it a bit fine?
Also, can one of the mods rename this thread to 2018/19? You can delete the 'new beginnings' bit!

We've already got a new thread, LP. Been going a week or so. It's a fine thread, even if I do say so myself!
