Week 12 Results
Fussball v Deportivo Wanka
- Voter 1:
- Fusball v Wanka
Fusball are very strong in wide areas, and I see that as being their big advantage today against Wanka, with the 3 CMs and Fekir making them quite narrow in midfield, leaving the 2 FBs 1 on 1 against some very good wide players and Lingard - with both Alonso and Pereira not the best defensively I think this is a big area of strength for Fusball
Equally, I see Wanka having some success through the pressing of their strikers, but Sanson and Casemiro are great protection for the CBs, and with little width to their play I can see them getting bogged down going forwards, opening up counter attacking opportunities
Close game, but think Fusball have great attacking talent in their 3 to take this one away from Wanka
Fusball win
- Voter 2:
- Fussball v Moron
Tough game to pick a winner on - Both teams choosing to sit off slightly and for me this comes down to the formations chosen and where i can see the chances coming from. I think Wanka edge it if im honest, i can see Fekir in behind doing a job feeding the 2 up top. I would give this a draw due to the dropping off if allowed thats for sure.
- Voter 3:
- Think Trebs has done very well in the past few weeks, he’s got a team together that’s looking strong throughout, all in all it’s one of the best starting elevens in the league now and he’s normally very good as well as tactically outplaying his opponent as I think he does here, clearly read up on what Nando does and executed it. Only point to raise is that I’d probably sell Lingard to a buyer now whilst his stock is probably at the highest it’ll ever be. I’d also be looking to have Bailey over Rashford at present, Bailey is doing exceptionally well whilst for me Rashford has gone a bit stale this season.

Re: Week 12 Results
Olympique Marswag v Kalamazoo Outrage
- Voter 1:
- marswag vs outrage - outrage win
overall - i think Hero has anticipated Miky's tactics sans Fernandinho perfectly here, looking to really press the Marswag team high in possession, and a Marswag team who are going to try to hold onto the ball imo means some mistakes on the ball. Particularly i think SMS/Pellegrini dominate the CM area against Tolisso/Anguissa, and as such Marswag struggle to build anything in attack and lose possession in dangerous areas allowing Werner/Asensio enough chances to win the game
marswag - i think today you without fernandinho against hero i'd have looked to really sit in and frustrate him by defending deep, but i do admire the attempt to be brave on the ball and attack. Do like your squad but just up against the best team in the league who tactically saw what you was doing correct
outrage win - got the tactics right today imo and coupled with your team means you won. keep it up alan
- Voter 2:
- Marswag v Outrage
Biggest issue I see this week for Marswag is trying to play a possession game with Anguissa being a key part of the midfield - he's just not at the level required to be able to play that kind of game up against the likes of SMS and Pellegrini, and I see him making mistakes with Hero's pressing tactics winning the ball up the field.
I think Marswag will have success out wide against the full backs using Zappa/Alba on the overlap, and that will be their biggest area of joy for me. Just think that Outrage can push them back with their wide players, and have too much quality in the middle of the park not to create the chances to win with a very good front 4
Outrage win
- Voter 3:
- Marswag attack v Outrage Defence
I think Miky’s attack will get the better of this battle. His side are full of flair and movement, and with both of Hero’s full backs preferring to get forward, they will be too much for Outrage. Silva’s experienced head is a big miss. Tolisso will also have a lot of joy bombing forward and I feel it is time for Outrage to make an upgrade at DM with the quality of attacks in the league
Outrage Attack v Marswag defence
Depay will have a lot of joy, getting behind Zappacosta and running at Christensen, whilst Asensio will also cause problems from deep, and is far too good for Anguissa. Werner v Rugani is an interesting one, which I see slightly in Werner’s favour, whilst I can see Vertonghen handling Dembele.
SMS is almost a spare man, and had he been instructed to go box to box, would have swung it. But I can’t get away from the feeling that in a game of attack beating defence, the feeling was stronger with Miky’s attack.
Would normally be a draw, but a surpre Marswag win for me.

Deportivo Moron v Cape-Coast Mysterious Dwarfs
- Voter 1:
- Moron vs Dwarf's
I quite liked the look of Moron's teams bags of potential in there, the tactics made sense focus on possession triangle before switching to the flanks. Nothing fancy but I can see it being effective.
Dwarves got hit hard with their injuries but that's still a solid side with a great core, guessed wrong with the formation of their opposition BUT got a lucky break in that playing deeper CM's negates the possession heavy tactic of the Morons.
ultimately both sides looked to use width as the difference maker but Dwarves have better match-winners there, leading to a narrow away win
- Voter 2:
- moron vs dwarfs - moron win
oh man this one is really really tough to predict a winner for cos i think moron has the better tactics and dwarfs the slightly better XI, but cos i think moron have surprised dwarfs with their formation and i do fancy their defence to keep a lid on dwarfs front four quite well i am just going to give them a slight 1-0 victory here
- Voter 3:
- Deportivo Moron v Cape Coast Mysterious Dwarfs
A hard game to call, I felt Moron did well to target the areas where Dwarfs were injury hit, but on the other hand the Dwarfs has good enough cover to just about cope. I'm not the biggest fan of the Moron fullbacks, I think they can be got at although Dwarfs are also vulnerable at fullback. In other circumstances I'd award a draw, but when I start nitpicking to find a winning side, I think the midfield pairing of Rabiot and Weigl does enough to handle Iniesta, and Havertz pestering Seri and Tousart was enough to give Moron the narrow win.

Re: Week 12 Results
Fiorentina Turner v Ebbsfleet United
- Voter 1:
- Fiorentina Turner v Ebbsfleet United
Ebbsfleet win this for me, think they have done a job on Turner today. The power in midfield combined with Bakambu up front will do enough against the 3 at the back. I also worry about El Shaarawy playing wing back, think hes better off just doing the attacking side of play.
- Voter 2:
- Fiorentina vs Ebbsfleet
I would imagine this to be a fantastic high-scoring game to watch with two sides that are great going forward.
Ebbsfleet get the win. Fiorentina should have played wingbacks. There's not even any defensive instructions for Chiesa and El Shaarawy to track back. Neres and Brandt basically make it a three vs three and I can see them dragging the CBs out wide and causing problems. Add in David Silva and the game only goes one way for me.
Fiorentina - In terms of players, wouldn't have played Cutrone on would look to upgrade Llorente.
Ebbsfleet - Fullbacks are your weakness. Got away with it today but on another day maybe not.
- Voter 3:
- Tina Tuna vs Ebbswheatfield - Ebbswheatfield win
It just reads like a man preparing for next season with a care free attitude from Tino think he'll get pumped hard with that formation. My advice is go to a back 4 and put Cutrone on the bench and your side would be quality.
Ebbswheatfield has some work to do on the full backs imo and possibly look at upgrading Neres & Cedric since his off to China
- Result:
- Ebbsfleet Unanimous

Re: Week 12 Results
People really don't bother looking at the keepers, Miky had a lad in goal who's never played a full professional game in his life yet and not one comment about him. Could stick Stephen Hawking in goal and no one would bat an eyelid.

Whilst I admit that it is very hard to judge him, his reputation is huge and everything you hear about him is a rave review. I considered the impact and whilst I wouldn’t have consider him being a match winner I also felt it hard to mark him down because of it. He was sufficient not to be a factor for me.

There's surely no way Fruchtl can be rated at this stage. If i gave George Miller a debut upfront I'd be crucified for it.

Fruchtl has been in Bayern Munich's first team squad this season so he's obviously no mug.

I didn't even look at either keeper for the Outrage v Marswag game
Would have had to google Fruchtl to remember he was a 17 year old novice

You know, when Milan threw Donnarumma in age 16 I'm sure people thought the same thing. I agree it could have had more of an impact but equally nobody knows how they'll play.

Personally, I may have drawn attention to it in my tactics if I saw his other keepers were out

That's why I enquired if I was able to amend my tactics after brought in a keeper after the cut off.BamBam wrote:Personally, I may have drawn attention to it in my tactics if I saw his other keepers were out
