Week 14 Results
Olympique Marseille v Fussball
- Voter 1:
- Olympique Marswag v Fußball
On paper it’s extremely tight, Miky does have a very good team though a tad toothless in attack. Trebs though this season has for me been in great form, and I’ll have him as a strong contender for season 2, he’s showing great ability to read the opponents tactics and adapt as well as finally showing transfer nuance.
Fussball win
- Voter 2:
- Marswag vs Futball - Marswag
Stop playing Thauvin LW, also get a better spare forward then Llorente
Why Azpi at LB when have a LB on the bench strange move think Rashford up top would of been a better idea
- Voter 3:
- Marswag v Fusball
Really interesting game. Both defences look very strong, and I would fancy the CBs/FBs to be on top in almost every battle - Falcao vs Rugani/Vertonghen, Llorente vs Jones/Evans, Bailey/Rashford vs Alba Meunier and Thauvin/Robben vs Valencia/Dave all look to favour the defences to me.
This would be a typical 0-0 draw or low scoring draw as I can't see a way for either side to score with the tactical set up. I have to look for a bit of magic, and just think Messi Lingard is in such great form, and either him or Bailey can pull out a long distance effort without any warning. I'll go with a Fusball win by a whisker

Re: Week 14 Results
Deportivo Wanka v Deportivo Moron
- Voter 1:
- Wanka v Moron
This one is a Moron win for me. It what was a tough game to call otherwise, targeting the LB area through Guedes, and aiming all tactics towards that. Was a case of putting all eggs in one basket that could have backfired if Nando had called it differently. But it was Bams day and it earns him the win.
- Voter 2:
- Deportivo Wanka v Deportivo Moron
Feel like there’s a lot more meat on the bones of Bam’s tactics going forward, Nando’s spine though is very strong and the three behind Mariano is up there as the best in the league, Bam needs to give his fullbacks some defensive duties especially against players of Lozano’s quality.
Wanka win
- Voter 3:
- Deportivo Wanka v Deportivo Moron
Wanka win (waiting for feedback from Olly)

Re: Week 14 Results
Kalamazoo Outrage v SAS
- Voter 1:
- Kalamazoo Outrage v SAS
Hard to call, obviously Outrage have a great side but Olly has set up with a 5-3-2 that would congest the defence and midfield, in my opinion frustrating the likes of Asensio and Dembele who need space to work best. I also think Werner using his pace isn't ideal against a deep back three who are double marking him anyway! I do see it as glorified bus parking though, but with Malcom and Son counter attacking against the Outrage back three it does give them some joy. I'd ordinarily give a 0-0 in old money, but as I have to pick a winner, I'd see SAS being able to hold out and catch Outrage on the break and win. I think Outrage should have seen that SAS have played like this before now, and maybe gone a bit more attacking, as for me I think Asensio and Dembele despite their free roles were crowded out and outnumbered too often.
- Voter 2:
- Outrage v SAS.
Clear Outrage win this one. Olly was always up against it with his injuries already, and then Hero called his tactics perfectly. Hero won the midfield battle and with Retsos and Lenglet, had more than enough to deal with the SAS attack. Then Hero’s forward line were just too strong for SAS’s defence, backline. Difficult to be critical of Olly tbh, he got blunted by injuries and just came up against a class team perfectly instructed by their manager
- Voter 3:
- Outrage vs SAS
I like this match-up 2 different takes on what is pretty much the same system, I preferred SAS’s defence, felt it looked more solid and would be able to deal with the threat of Werner. Even though Outrage had one less body in CM I think SMS and Pellegrini could handle themselves, and with Asensio and Dembele kind of twin #10’s the middle became pretty congested so the extra bodies didn’t really help SAS.
I also felt Malcom and Son would end up being a little too isolated with that midfield trio not really being able to bridge the gap and offer too much support.
Nice game but not really one for the purists
Outrage have just enough to get over the line

Re: Week 14 Results
Shakhtar Senseless v Ebbsfleet United
- Voter 1:
- Shaktar vs Ebbsfleet - Shaktar
Get a better forward Marky he's Poopie it's why they were trying to sell him to Wolves(im aware you have Dzeko).
Ebbsfleet feel like a side where the formation doesn't suit the team possibly a move to a 3-4-1-2 or 3-4-2-1 would be better
- Voter 2:
- Shakhtar v Ebbsfleet
Tough game to call as always. Solid set of tactics from both teams and i only see the winner being determined by lineup, that lineup is Shakhtar. They are a strong team which if build right in the off season could really be a huge force for next season and are still chasing this season. It's not just the first 11 either, the depth Marky has is brilliant and hes been clever with his transfers.
- Voter 3:
- Shakhtar vs Ebbsfleet
Given the injuries, Ebbsfleet have done well. I like their midfield trio, and can see them dominating the play. Having said that, Ebbsfleet putting Silva on the left was a good move and he will cause issues. It's a very difficult game to call, because both sides have the same formation, and similar quality sides. Ebbsfleet get the narrowest of wins, but I wouldn't be saying that with any real conviction.

To voter 2 - I played azpi at lb to counter their best player in robben. Not sure how that makes me deserve to lose.

Well played Marky
Voter 1, was the formation a key part in one you gave Shakhtar the win?

Re: Week 14 Results
Do love on my results that one person says I've called it perfectly to deal with Olly's tactics whilst another thinks I should have been aware of Olly's tactics and dealt with them better and been more attacking.
I've in the past been more attacking against a counter attacking team and more than often as a result come away with a loss, by playing a patient probe, pass and exploit game that's surely better than going gung-ho and leaving me open to counters?

It was me who thought you'd played it perfectly, so that clearly is the right answer......

Every other time someone's played counter v me and I've gone attacking I've been ripped to shreds in feedback, now I've not done that and someone says I should have been attacking!

Some feedback is very good. Some people give atrocious comments though and in my book, it shouldn't even count as a vote.

Re: Week 14 Results
As a person I consider a friend and someone who I thought I could trust Nando im a bit annoyed if im honest, you may not care and at the end of a day it is a game but just consider the time people have put into the running of the league. I have been a bit slapdash recently and there have been reasons why which I wont discuss here but I ak trying to get back on it.
If anyone wants out then go now, im starting not to give a Poopie who stays anymore, especially as people act like children when rules dont go their way but are quite happy to break them when it suits.

Re: Week 14 Results
You can complain if you think the feedback was poor and ask for an explanation.
I would expect any predictor to be able to justify the result given if requested to do so.

It'll look suspicious cos I'm chasing you at the top of the league, but I genuinely felt you could have easily had an extra attacker and that your front three would be swarmed by Olly's back five and defensive midfield. Even then it'd have been a draw if I could have voted for that. Lose a CB and add a winger, 3-4-3 to a 4-2-3-1 seamlessly and you'd have had enough to cope comfortably with Olly's attack.
