Week 15 Results
Shaktar Senseless v Fussball
- Voter 1:
- Shaktar v Fussball
Think this is a game in which Trebs rolls box cars and Marky rolls snake eyes. Trebs has the tactics bang on, Sule man marking Dzeko nullifies one of the target man’s best assets, Trebs also has massive pace abuse on the flanks and up front which despite Juanfran and Rose not being slouches I think as the game goes on they’ll struggle to keep up. At the other end I really like Pastore but think he needs to be in a more central role dictating play but then you’d be doubling up with Gundogan. Whilst it’s not something we often mention but Ederson was a great buy for Trebs with the attack he has, turning defence into attack in seconds.
Fussball win
- Voter 2:
- Fussball Win - Afro to provide feedback ASAP
- Voter 3 :
- SHAKHTAR SENSELESS v Fußball - WIN for Fussball
I have been looking forward to this game for a while and Trebs seems to have got it spot on. With Sule man-marking Dzeko and with him being instructed to stay on the shoulder of the CB, I feel he doesn't really get a look in - even with Trebs expecting crosses rather than balls in behind. Clever use of pressing to get at Gundogan and starve service, which is maximised with Marky telling him to play from deep. I think one of the key things is Trebs playing Marky's wide players well, playing for quick counters as the WB's bomb forward and find themselves crowded out. I feel that is where their goals will come. I don't know how much weight people put in their feedback for subs, but I think Trebs also counters Marky's all out attack and could very well nick another goal.
For Fussball, although the midfield 3 worked for the tactics employed, I do feel they are missing our creatively in the middle and rely on their pacy wingers. I don't think Lingard/Sanson in a number 10 role solves this so I would sacrifice a wider player in the quest to get a more central playmaker. This also allows you to mix it up more because I would be targeting those wingers to nullify you. Perhaps as well a change of FB's. Valencia isn't really suited to a flat four in my opinion and does rely on cover from midfield or a 3 man defence.
For Shakhtar, I am not a fan of their attacking options. I think if you look at the entire squad, it is one of the better ones. But there is no player in that first 11 where I would think, that is a game-changer. Tactics wise, making no mention of combating Treb's pace attack (which, as I said, he relies a lot on) was a mistake as well. For that reason, Chalobah seems to be wasted in his defensive duties.

Cape-Coast Mysterious Dwarfs v Ebbsfleet United
- Voter 1:
- Cape Coast vs Ebbsfleet - Cape Coast
+ Iniesta at AM
+ Jesus
- Reus & Callejon on the bench for 55 mins
- Need to sort the full backs
+ I like the midfield 3
- Weak back 4 bar Martinez
- Brandt,Neres, Tosun on the bench
Both seemed to overthink things would of given a draw but have to choose a result and Afro has more plus points soz Twizzle
- Voter 2:
- Dwarfs v Ebbsfleet
Both sides looking somewhat at next season with a few younger players blooding in to their teams, Twist playing the two very exciting youngsters in Pellegri and Gomes is a gamble v the heads of Chiellini & Martinez and I can see Gomes making a name for himself v them, overall though I have to give it to the spine of the Dwarfs, if Ebbsfleet had perhaps targeted the flanks more they could have come away with a result and whilst Gomes/Silva have free roles I’d be looking to see them targeting the flanks more.
Dwarfs win
- Voter 3 :
- Dwarf's vs Ebbsfleet
A home win for me...both sides set up very narrow but think what is effectively a 10 man midfield battle just gets stifled. Pellegri looks a talent but Jesus has shown it longer and think he'll be that bit more clinical. There's not a lot to separate the sides and I don't see it as a particularly attractive game with clear cut chances at a premium, both sides mostly cancelling each other out

Olympique Marswag v Deportivo Moron
- Voter 1:
- Marswag win - Afro to provide feedback ASAP
- Voter 2:
- Marswag v Moron
Hard to call, I feel that it's not as simple for Moron to just keep Robben wide and Gaya isn't the most Defensive LB either. I also feel Miky contradicts himself a bit by specifying that Moron play narrow and focusing on width, but then playing wingers who prefer cutting infield. I'd see both sides creating problems but despite playing Davis in front of the back four when he's better going forward, I think Immobile gets the better of Tah and is able to do more than Dolberg and Guedes can against the Marswag defence. Marswag win.
- Voter 3 :
- Olympique Marswag vs Deportivo Moron
An interesting game here. I feel that both teams need to change things up a little in terms of personnel. Marswag have a solid defensive unit, made even stronger with Christensen and Fernandinho. But going forward I worry about them, the likes or Coric and Thauvin aren't good enough and it just feels like the side needs a bit of a refresh. As for Moron, their side is probably a bit better, but Dolberg, Soler, Havertz and others are those with a lot of potential but need a couple of stars for me. I like Henrichs, but he's got a lot of pressure on him without anyone else out wide.
It's a tough game to call. I imagine Moron being a good side in possession but possibly lacking that extra dimension/cutting edge. Miky has called his tactics well, and despite possible deficiencies in his attack I'm going to give a narrow win.

Thanks Twist. Do genuinely appreciate the detailed feedback, I will take it on board. Especially as this week I did spend quite a while working out my tactics.
In general, feedback is good but it's just the occasions where it isn't that I get disappointed.
Good game btw marky

Well played Trebs, outdid me this week and deserved the win. And I thought that before I saw three ohers thought the same.
It's a shame Hero sealed the title with a default win, but that's not his fault, a worthy Champion.

Re: Week 15 Results
Out of interest, are you officially calling it Marky?
I ask as I was preparing to dig up the energy to make a proper attempt at tactics for the next two weeks. If there is no reason, my tactics this week might well reflect my general health this week

Re: Week 15 Results
It was the 1st default I've had of the season but agree that it's not quite as sweet. Technically though it's still up for grabs if you win your remaining games and I lose them.

I ideally want everyone to put effort into tactics, as you are the bunch i wanted in the league, thats what i would want as a minimum.
I know its a bit of fun but we still need to organise prize money etc at the end and it could depend on league stature.

Re: Week 15 Results
I'm only 6 points clear of 3rd so I need to keep going but yeah the title race is over as far as I'm concerned. If everyone does tactics and picks teams that best help them (whether that's for season 1 or 2) then that's all I'd want, I think I've over achieved being that high up the table anyway.

It's more that I'm feeling so rough this week. As my game (plus next week v Marky) was going to be impacting the title race, I was going to go full strength, and rouse my self to a tactical bonanza.
But rather than kill myself I'll put the normal effort in and also pick the side that is best for Dwarfs
