6 Nations: England v Ireland - Our Favourite Bestest Neighbours - 17 March 2018
First topic message reminder :
I’ve always thought that England are a very good team and their fans are lovely and the most popular.
Feel free to add your own thoughts as we approach next weekend’s match as we travel over to visit them and celebrate with them. And I’m sure that they’ll be as welcoming and fun-filled as they always are whenever we play them.
As we all know, it’s only a game and sure it doesn’t matter who wins.....
Lovely England Team
Watson, May, Joseph, Te'o, Daly, Farrell, Wigglesworth, Simmonds, Haskell, Robshaw, Kruis, Itoje, Sinckler, Hartley, Mako
George, MArler, Cole, Launchbury, Armand, Care, Ford, Brown
Super Controlling Unbelievable Mauling Monster Yeti Irish Team
Kearney, Earls, Ringrose, Aki, Stockdale, Sexton Murray, Stander, Leavy, O'Mahony, Ryan, Henderson, Furlong, Best, Healy.
Reps: Cronin, McGrath, Porter, Toner, Murphy, Marmion, Carbery, Larmour.

Sorry Mr head but that was a perfectly legitimate try as it never touched his hand.
That being said, the ref has been terrible
England have been worse though!

No,it’s the torso that’s a knock on,below the waist and above the shoulders is fine

England have been inconsistent at the line-out, poor at the breakdown and dominated in contact.
It's a deserved Ireland lead.
I'd get Launchbury on for Itoje during the break.
Simmonds is a good player but he has been anonymous against this very good Irish back row.
Mako is showing up far more in the loose than he has all tournament though.

Big shout out to Carbery as well here, he has come on in probably one of the biggest matches he will ever play in by replacing possibly the best 10 in World rugby right now and is not remotely looking out of his depth.

Well the way the game is going Ireland will be getting their 3rd Grand Slam.
England giving away to many penalties " AGAIN" If they ( England ) are to win they will have to cut put the penalties and play a whole lot better that the first half.

Good physical game.
England really putting it up to Ireland who are lucky to have scored three but have to say Ireland are chasing everything.
Brown on is harder for Ireland as think Watson was a bit nervous on high balls

Ireland ruthless and relentless as somebody (fly?) has said. They are hungry like the wolf.
England will need to have a huge change of attitude if they are to claw things back... so far they've shown not much apart from the surgical precision of Farrell's kick for the score.

Well really poor first half. Ford on for Joseph and Launchbury on for Kruis. Game could well be gone already.

Neither of the tries were knock ons. Knee is not a knock on
England are impl;oding with a lack of brain - what has cost them is the feild position they have given up thru penalties and free kicks, Get Ireland defending the ball on their own line so Itoje stands 2 m offside! 3 early engagements, two interference in the air at lineouts. thats why Ireland are winning.

Re: 6 Nations: England v Ireland - Our Favourite Bestest Neighbours - 17 March 2018
England do not deserve to be in the lead, Ireland have dominated, but it much easier to dominate when 4 or 5 major decisions go in your favour. Two tries given, both looked at carefully and both probable knock ons. Shoulder charge into the face, only a penalty, no yellow card could have been red. Bringing down the maul only a meter out, yellow card, but no PT. Irish lose control of their jumper, no he says England took him out despite no England player touching him, penalty Ireland from which they score. Itoje jumps makes slight contact with the outside of the arm, penalty Ireland.
Ref is atrocious and needs to go back to reffing kids where his mistakes will not make such a difference

Stockdale is good at scoring but I hope Joe and Best sit him down and tell him that Zebo and Earls are miles ahead so he keeps progress.
Thank you T14 money for opening a space for him

Not really. It was a clear try just like the one Anscombe scored. England’s luck has run out and Ireland are in complete control. This is one of the best Ireland teams I’ve seen.

Ireland always seem to have 3 covering defenders on 1 close to the side lines... hard to crack such dominant defence. Kicks probably the only way through to make it a 50:50 chance of scoring or better.
