6 Nations: England v Ireland - Our Favourite Bestest Neighbours - 17 March 2018
First topic message reminder :
I’ve always thought that England are a very good team and their fans are lovely and the most popular.
Feel free to add your own thoughts as we approach next weekend’s match as we travel over to visit them and celebrate with them. And I’m sure that they’ll be as welcoming and fun-filled as they always are whenever we play them.
As we all know, it’s only a game and sure it doesn’t matter who wins.....
Lovely England Team
Watson, May, Joseph, Te'o, Daly, Farrell, Wigglesworth, Simmonds, Haskell, Robshaw, Kruis, Itoje, Sinckler, Hartley, Mako
George, MArler, Cole, Launchbury, Armand, Care, Ford, Brown
Super Controlling Unbelievable Mauling Monster Yeti Irish Team
Kearney, Earls, Ringrose, Aki, Stockdale, Sexton Murray, Stander, Leavy, O'Mahony, Ryan, Henderson, Furlong, Best, Healy.
Reps: Cronin, McGrath, Porter, Toner, Murphy, Marmion, Carbery, Larmour.

Great tap - but player in after dived straight on top of player on the ground ...
Looked like Kearney's knee made contact with Daly's head. No malice but if refereeing on the outcome (see Daly's penalty for neck role) then a penalty could and possibly should have been awarded to England.

If you are playing a team allowed to knock on to score twice, shoulder charge you in the face and drop mauls in front of their line and not concede penalty tries you are certainly right.kingelderfield wrote:I want to be wrong but I don't see us coming back from this.

Hartley s had a good game today. I know the emphasis has been on the back row but it's the loss of form in our locks and the loss of youngs which had really cost us this tournament.

There's been nothing too bad in the officials mistakes happen. England have made more error s and that's why we're now battling against a tide.

Not just the 2nd row, but their diminished contribution is noticeable.
At least the BR has not let us down in the is game! Only our limited half backs have compensated for that!

Very very good rdw. Shame we didn't see the 2 playmakers til late in the game. It's proved successful and I'd suggest it'll be back next game. Andy Farrell proving his worth again.

That was so stupid from Marler. Could maybe even argue a yellow for a deliberate late hit.

Daly is not an IC, OC Wing or FB
However Ford could have played without Farrell today given he's the better 10

You want Daly dropped then I assume. At international level I'm a strong believer you need 2 playmaker s. We have some very good ones so I'm not too concerned whether it's ford Farrell or some combo with a slade or even mallinder at 15 should jones and Gustard think he's ready.

But Farrell might, not unreasonably, have felt it was a free play, then the ref called advantage over MUCH quicker than in the extended play leading up to the Irish pen. When your luck's out, your luck's out. And now Ringrose has shouldered Daly flagrantly in the head as secpond tackler = no arms whatsoever. WTF????

For me, Daly at FB or wing is a no brainer at international level. The guy is proper quality.

Ah sorry. Misread that post as a sentence saying he's not any. I'd agree he's not an inside centre but I think he was seem as having enough about him to come in and play that role as someone like ben smith does. It's not happened today.
