Whyte vs Browne, who wins and how?
Ahead of tomorrow night's fight I wanted to hear your expert opinion on who wins and how. I have only seen highlights of Browne's KO's, though I know he has fought very limited opposition.
Gut instinct for me: Browne catches him and KO's him, though most signs point to Whyte should be favourite. Just a hunch!

Browne should KO Whyte brutally. Browne only has Chagev on his cv but that's better than anyone that's on Whyte's cv. Whyte lost to Chisora whom is no more than a gatekeeper and Whyte couldn't even hurt a totally shot Helenius.

If Whyte's intelligent enough and manages to box like he did in the Helenius fight, it *should* work in his favour on the way to a points victory.
However, I think he's already looking past Browne and has underestimated him. Browne is better than a lot of the HW dross at the moment and although not the most technically gifted, he does pack a load of power. Think Whyte takes him too lightly and walks on to a big shot after building up a points lead. Lucas doesn't need telling twice and his brutal follow up onslaught sees the ref stopping it.

Pretty well how I see it, word for word. I am hoping for a Browne win, I appreciate that it is hype but I am sick and tired of Whyte's feud's, rarely has a good word for anyone.
I am interested to see how Lewis Ritson goes on the undercard, looked very good winning/defending his British title but Cardle might pose some different questions.

I think everyone is vastly overrating Browne. Not seem much of him admittedly but apart from a decent punch he looks very average. Whyte has a decent enough chin so can take a few if he gets caught but I expect him to win comfortably on points.

I am not overly sold on Browne but he proved (to my surprise) against Chagaev that he can be knocked down and still win, he has proven power. Whyte for my money was buzzed by Helenius twice early, the latter for some reason not going for the finish and then became very negative/tired? I am not convinced Whyte can box well enough for 12 rounds and stay out of range, if caught I don't think Browne will need a second invitation to find the finish.
I have always suspected Whyte was signed by Hearn to be a domestic rival for AJ to generate interest/controversy, if he wins tonight fair play and if he walks away with plenty of cash in his pocket good luck to him.

It's a bit like a few of the recent fights where the odds are quite enticing for the underdog in a fight that's nearer 50/50. I'd say at 3/1 just to win, Browne is worth a punt. I'd marginally favour Whyte based on youth but given he really struggled with Chisora and a Helenius far past his best, a best even Chisora exposed and unspectacular, I can't say Whyte has a name on his CV with a W on that impresses me. Browne's inactivity and age are my main concerns.

Fights have been a lot shorter than I would have thought.
Good though.

Classy from Buglioni.
He should come again. Never will be a world champ but a good euro level fighter.
Not sure about Johnson.

Johnson seems limited as a boxer but he has the equaliser in his fists. A dangerous opponent for anybody.

Got time for Johnson. Lost his way a bit especially with his initial promotional team.
On another note, forgot how untidy Dillians work is

Brown looks heavy and even more limbering than normal.
Unless he catches Whyte with a lucky punch this is going to be one way.

Brown looks disheartened already. Like he knows he got his plan wrong.
Obviously decided that increased bulk would be the key but it's just made him show and clumsy. No opportunity to use the extra weight.

Yup - he's usually about 250-255lbs so the extra stone or so is not going to be helping him...

Re: Whyte vs Browne, who wins and how?
If Whyte just uses distance and keeps long punches, brown just doesn't look either quick enough to get inside or avoid the long punches.

In a way, so long as brown is ok, that was the best ending. He was getting beaten badly.
Probably the end of brown as a contender.

I'll have two slices of humble pie, cannot believe how bad Browne looked, hopefully he will be ok.

Re: Whyte vs Browne, who wins and how?
Brown has always looked a bit limited and lumbering. Against Chagaev was the only time I saw him embrace the idea of boxing. And good in him, he deserved to win.
But today he looked terrible.
Credit to Whyte though, he looked lean, sharp and controlled. He really does look a genuine contender.

Agreed, Browne never a slick mover but to be honest he looked like he had not trained. Never a fan of Whyte but full credit he looked much much improved tonight.

Was going to off set my bet with Whyte points. Glad I didn't.

Whyte was excellent. Not sure if it was Browne just being that bad but Whyte did his job very well. Thought Whyte on points and didn’t think he’d beat him so easily with a chilling ko like that. Be great to see him get a shot at Wilder and I’d give him a chance of winning that.
Most importantly hope Browne is ok!!

Beast, I agree. Can't believe Browne didn't train but he did look terrible. Maybe thought size was the key? Maybe he didn't train? Who knows?
Although Browne looked terrible, Whyte still looked the best I've seen. Looked in great shape, looked sharp and boxed reasonably well. Can always find fault but that was the best I've seen Whyte. He does look a genuine contender. Really not sure wilder will want him.

Hopefully it is as commented a precautionary hospital visit for Browne that was a chilling knockout.

I didn't really see it clearly so was hoping to see the replay but, unless I missed it, they didn't relay it, did they?
I respect the decision not to replay if the fighter is seriously hurt but looks like Browne is ok.

Re: Whyte vs Browne, who wins and how?
Not much more to say. Hard to believe he did not train but to be brutally honest it did not really look like it, when he turned southpaw it was like watching slow motion.
Big improvement from Whyte from the Helenius fight, never sold on the AJ rematch or Wilder fights but after that why not.
I did not see a replay, correctly so with the medics looking after an unconscious fighter.

Re: Whyte vs Browne, who wins and how?
It was a huge, well-timed shot against a clearly outclassed opponent. Well played Dillian - he did exactly what was needed up until that point and then finished Browne off with an absolute peach.
It'll be interesting to see how Wilder reacts to having to face Whyte next. He is the WBC's mandatory, and either Joshua or Parker *should* have to face theirs at some point. Could be interesting...

Browne was awful. Looked like a local bouncer dragged from a club looking a pay day.
I'm no believer in Wilder, but Whyte Is nothing special. Wilder for all his faults, will be able to knock Whyte out.
Ortiz was old, but he has much more talent Than Whyte.

Browne's performance was a disgrace. Cannot believe he picked up a 'regular' belt. Only credit I can give him for that fight is that he is a tough man. Whyte caught him with some cracking shots which he seemed to shrug off, until that last hook.
Still think Wilder cracks Whyte. Though would be interesting with that huge range Whyte has. Haye described his arms as freakishly long.

Not my observation but funny anyway. We had a Brown fighter called Whyte fighting a white fighter called Brown. Not a lot of people know that.
