The Avicii thing is very sad, it shows that alcoholism can impact anyone, not just honeless people.

Amazing insight on the Golf boards. If it hadn't been for the death of a Swedish DJ who I'd never heard of and this subsequent insight, I'd never have realised that it's not just homeless people who can suffer from alcoholism.

That building you're staying in... looks pretty cool in that hip precinct (I checked out their website).
It's good that they cleaned up that area in such a prominent and historic spot on the river too.

ha, they have a few ones like that near here with fully bearded blokes of ME appearance running the show. I'm careful not to talk about the rise and fall and the subsequent demise of ISIS... and the cause for all that anger. They use exceptionally clean and sterilised equipment all the time.

You have a great memory. That was a reference to a song ("mopoke" is mentioned in a song called "Outside World" by Midnight Oil) and there is a dialogue from some documentary about Medieval times where some bearded chap furiously accuses someone else of a "pithy" remark.

Huge problem here with some of our fauna at the moment.
It seems some Chinese tourists like to feed our semi tame kangaroos carrots... and now the roos are becoming quite aggressive.

Here's a picture of a tourist with a huge gash down the side of her face and some other assorted violent injuries Dave would be proud of.
