Sadly, he's more the type to lead the lads in the initial charge, not calm everything down.

England are certainly losing their nut. Need to calm down and play.

Certainly will. Ref being very patient so far...
England need to settle down to playing rugby....which they were doing pretty well early on.

So much for that early lead ...
Could have been worse there at the end. Mike Brown gets a lot of flak on here sometimes but that was a vital tackle

Re: England Summer Tour - Part 2
England need to stick to their rugby and not get drawn into niggly exchanges. SA are a great team at getting under oppositions skins and disrupting them.
Proper on field leadership is required out there for England.

Re: England Summer Tour - Part 2
Probably a deserved lead for South Africa.
Poor decision by England to not take the 3 points, instead gambling for a try, when already 2 points up. Tight test match, you need every point you can get.
Replacements will be key. England need to keep the ball in hand more, as South Africa look extremely dangerous on the counter.

Re: England Summer Tour - Part 2
I'm not sure it was that poor an option for the mine out tbh. We do need to spend some more time down in sa territory. Poor pass did for us but you have to back yourselves sometimes. Too much time in our own 22 may lead to a yellow.

Piss poor from England again!
Sorry Owen but you take the points at this level.
No Leadership is our biggest problem, imagine that team with a young Martin Johnson in there or lawrence dallaglio

Same stupid penalties although we're playing well when we have the ball. SA have little else besides power although it's quite effective.

Not sure why the ref allowed SA to dive all over the ball at the end there to kill it so that England couldn't play the knock-on advantage ...

Re: England Summer Tour - Part 2
We are our own worst enemy.
Silly silly stupid penalties.
If I was Eddie Jones I’d make it known the next silly penalty given away that leads to a score that player is toast.
If it’s Maro or Farrell then so be it.

As much as I have doubts, it's time to bring on Cipriani. England need a radical change and the only thing close to it is Danny boy. We need that bit of unpredictability.

Chance gone. Again, England should have been banking the points, like Ireland earlier, and getting within range, not playing 7s rugby.

Times I'd agree. But eight points down and they're not going make that up with penalties Probably should have had the try anyway...

Yeah it's time to throw cips on. I'd have had him on earlier. I'm not normally critical of ref weirs but when it is clearly an error in knowledge of the law I am. It's really really poor from the team today.

Re: England Summer Tour - Part 2
Missed most of this game today (family commitments, being fathers day tomorrow)...
But the last 10 mins I've seen (from 55mins play time) it looks like the Boks maybe coming back to form in the run up to next year.
England... need some radical changes to personnel.. (probably at coaching level too!!!)
Still time to go, but England winning/stealing this game now will only paper over cracks in the Team England, which wont help you going into next year... So from a Welsh viewpoint.. C'MON ENGLAND.. WIN!!!

This is a massive shame for England. They have gotten into great positions to only allow South Africa to drag them into playing poor, error strewn rugby. Lacking a mature on field leader to control situations.

And just to add one more point, when did Brown forget how to catch a kick? One of the things he usually brought to a match is the ability to catch a kick in traffic. It seems he is becoming more of a basketball net....
